DR Congo out of the AFCON. wonder if bolassie is rushing back? Has anyone heard if Riyadh is back yet?

Rihad is back.

Bolasie would do well to play for Palace on Saturday

I wouldn't call it dropping Kramaric, just picking the right team to start the match if different players are more suitable. I'm not sure why it has to be seen that way, Nugent will run the pants off the Palace defence and possibly make it a bit easier later on for who ever comes on, in this case it would be Kramaric for me. It's just logical to have a guy play who gives them no rest, as opposed to a guy who I obviously support but who isn't ready to play from the start at the pace required yet. He was bought to make a difference, well maybe that difference can be made later in the game when it's more open and possibly a bit slower. He's not exactly claimed a starting spot has he? The guy is feeling the heat, he can start against Villa

Drop Kramaric? We've bought him to be the difference in games like this.

These are the teams people on here would pick, presumably based on their knowledge of the players.

I've hardly seen him play, never seen him train and I only have a few YouTube videos as reference.

With that in mind I personally have a problem putting him in the team over someome who has actually had a positive effect on the team when he's played of late.

I just don't know enough about the bloke to actually say whether he's worth a start or not. I don't care how much he cost and that's not going to influence my choice.

The management have seen him train, have seen him in full games etc, so they have more information to make that choice. So I'll have to trust them on that if he starts, but me putting him in the team now would only be based on the presumption he's good because he cost a lot.

My Starting XI vs Palace:

Schwarzer

Simpson Wasyl Upson Schlupp

Albrighton Cambiasso James Mahrez

Kramaric Ulloa.

(Captain - Wasyl/Cambiasso/James)

I like that set up, would say that's our best side, huth in for upson when available.

When I see kramie and Ulloa up top I just see Howard and Fryatt. Slow on the counter and crap on the ball. We need someone quick and can put in a killer pass. I just don't see that with Kramie.

Nuge in behind Ulloa is the way forward. Also Kramie cut it for a shot atleast 5 times against Man U. Very predictable at the moment. Hopefully it's just nerves.

No I'd rather have Nugent playing in the position he's played in all season and where Kramarić has been average, and then have Kramarić in front of him. Incredible how people are still pretending Nugent isn't at least partly responsible for most of our decent performances, even after Nugent played better than Kramarić was when he came on yet Kramarić gets the 'he needs better service' card and Nugent just gets abuse whenever he does anything slightly wrong

Edit: Unless that was a joke post, which would be understandable but the line between real posts and those taking the piss is disappearing quickly

See what you're saying but Ulloa probably has to start because he's our only striker who actually scores and even his goal return hasn't been amazing

No one knows why we've bought Kramaric.

It's like spending £9m on a sausage-machine and then realising you don't have enough money to buy sausage meat too. The result: No sausages.

All we've done is blow our whole budget on a back-up for Ulloa. We still need Nugent in the side and so then we have to bench an £8m striker or a £9m striker.

WHERE'S THE SAUSAGES PEARSON??

Personally I don't think Kramaric can be judged just yet with only a handful of games in the premier league, he needs time, granted we don't have that but they only way we will see if he can cut it is by playing him.

Nugent, yes he influences games when he comes on, hassles the defence etc. But we all have to agree that he lacks any real quality when it comes to finishing. Personally this season he's missed numerous easy chances which should have been dispatched, if memory serves me correct he missed a few sitters against Villa at home? In the premier league you can't be playing a CF or ST who is incapable of finishing, no matter how much he influences the game when he comes on or starts, If he can't finish he can't finish, simples.

I just realised that Hull are away to Manchester City.

Aston Villa are at home to Chelsea.

QPR are at home to Southampton.

A real chance for us to close some ground, this is a must win game bearing in mind our rivals fixtures this coming weekend.

Schwarzer

Simpson

Was

Wes

Schlupp

Albrighton

Cambiasso

James

Mahrez

Kramaric

Ulloa

Subs: Hammond, De Laet, Nugent, Vardy, Knockaert, Drinkwater and Moore.

More people need to realise this, too many saying a draw would be an ok result

and that he's one of the most prolific goal scorers in Europe?

Just looked at Burnley's upcoming run of games... after this weekend against West Brom it reads:

Man U

Chelsea

Swansea

Liverpool

Man City

Southampton

Spurs

Arsenal

Ouch

Hull, Villa, Sunderland, QPR seem to have a favourable run of games though, although they all do seem play each other.

In a poor league.

Not writing him off, not saying he's not good enough to start. Just that I don't know enough about him yet to put him in MY team. To do so would be based on assumptions and nothing more.

It's a good point about Nugent. I really think though that £9m should have been spent replacing him in the transfer window, rather than on a sub for Ulloa.

Time will tell if Kramaric is the sort of player we need, but the early signs are not good. He looks like he needs service rather than someone who's gonna create chances for others.

If we can get out of the bottom 3 it would be a huge boost to everyone. I can't even remember the weekend we went bottom but it's been months now.

Completely agree, we need a 'Bojan' type player, how Stoke got him for £3m is amazing! We have a lot of 'run around' central midfielders, but no one who has a real touch of class to play in that number 10 role.

We are at our best when we press teams from the front. My worry with Ulloa and Kramaric is they don't have the same intensity as Vardy and Nugent do. That's not necessarily going to be our downfall but when we select a similar defence and midfield who were successful in playing this way as well it's often where we've been found out in the middle of the park. Our central midfield is very limited when we don't play a high pressing game. I still have no idea what our best XI is.

The psychological boost from a win and getting off the bottom/oout of relegation would be massive. Maybe give the players that extra bit of confidence to take a point or two from arsenal and the like.

A loss and it could be another very large nail in the proverbial.
