Happy Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Anyone seen this? https://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/warburton-twist-as-bees-issue-statement-1758385.html?
lgfualol Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I wouldn't take him. 2 years managing experience.
Donut Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I dont want Mark Warburton to come in, but its blatantly obvious since everything broke on Sunday that Pearson's time here is up. Doesnt have the support of the board Doesnt have the respect of the media Doesnt have a hope of keeping us up Made himself damaged goods. The sacking is inevitable
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 There have been happenings at Brentford apparently. Looking at the manager of Ray Vallecano reportedly.
cc_star Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 What's he like with the press? That's all that matters We could go down Derby-style on 11pts and all some people would be bothered about is whether he'll speak to an agenda'd muppet from the local radio station and smile for SkyTV If he can do both of those things, then get Pearson out & him in... now!
Crinklyfox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Unless the owners are determined to sack Pearson in the very near future I can't see this happening. The main criticism has been lack of experience in the PL, which wouldn't be addressed by this appointment.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Considering he is not even in the betting of most places and is 40/1 with the others this is clearly a case the media putting 2+2 together and reaching 5. Wouldn't want him anyway, not achieved as much as Pearson, less experienced etc.
Fox92 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 There must be something going on at Brentford then, internally/externally (not sure), if they're considering replacing him because he's done a great job there. Of course if it's true that'll rule him out of the Leicester job because apparently we should only go for the nice people.
sylofox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 If they did sack Nige they would have to pay him up. So If they are still going to sack him why would he come back to help the club that is going to sack him. Did he not walk out last time after MM had Sousa sat in the directors box for the play off semi's. He could surely walk away now and claim constructive dismissal. I do not see him staying if it is purely football reasons they sacked him for (if they did) If it is for his attitude then after yesterday's press conference fvck all seems to have changed.
samlcfc1 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Brentford don't want him? But he's good enough for us ! Sounds about right
Guest Bilo Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I wouldn't be shocked to see him go to QPR based on Tony Fernandes' latest tweet and the news Brentford are looking for a new man.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Brentford don't want him? But he's good enough for us ! Sounds about right Not the case apparently. The reports coming out of Brentford are they know he's a sought after manager, so need to be considering alternatives if he leaves.
Gary Eatfood Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Didn't realise he spent a year here on a YTS in the late '70's.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Has history with the club, not that it makes much difference
Stadt Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Good manager, he quit his job as a investment banker to become a youth coach.
teblin Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Has a great record at Brentford. Would be a gamble given he only has been a manager for a season and a half.
teblin Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I heard Brentford want rid as he is a bi of a master baker. I'll get my coat!
Torten Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 We all know Fernades's latest tweet was about Nigel
Finn Claw II Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 A risk but certainly brings a new perspective on things. Anyone who takes a 90% pay cut to do something they love deserves a bit of respect.
Callabinho Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Piss off, from them into a premier league survival scrap? Silly idea. Unfortunately if NP was to be sacked, they would have to go for MON, or a manager of similar Ilk, otherwise there's no point sacking Nige.
