Knockaert leaving in June - Signed for Standard Liège

Nice chap and everything but I want to see us with better players on the field than Knockaert and Pearson obviously agrees.

Most had their doubts about Tony in the Premier League and it would appear those doubts have been confirmed.

Is that why he offered him a new contract?

Offered him a new contract to be a squad filler.....He's started 3 games all season, fallen down the pecking order behind Tom Lawrence.

Pearson would rather many other players were in his team at this level than Tony.

He presumably wants game time. It would have been nice to see what he was capable of when the team had some confidence. I've no idea whether he is actually good enough at PL level.

he was offered a new contract so we will get a transfer fee for him at a signs for another club as he is under 24 (the same as Danny Ings etc)

Knockeart was interviewed on the moan in tonight, sounded a bit down. Wouldn't say whether he'd been released/signed for anyone.

Link?

It'll be on the iplayer somewhere. I wouldn't bother it's about 2 minutes in the middle of the programme.

This isn't confirmed so calm down people, Tony K will see sense it's cool

Tbf sense was for him to leave. He was not in the team in the premiership and wants to play football.

Who would you have dropped to get him in the starting 11 out of curiosity?

Didn't need to drop anyone, he should have been kept in the team after his performance against Villa.

Well in the interview he starts by saying that he's currently trying to sort out a move but that he can't question anybody at the club because they've been performing so well without him, though when asked a few seconds later if that's the end of him at Leicester he says he can't really talk about it at the moment, so that makes it sound as though perhaps the move isn't turning out as planned? Did sound incredibly down though, could be other things as well though
