bongo92 Posted 20 December 2015 Share Posted 20 December 2015 Sat in the home end (with an everton mate) in the first row right next to fuchs in 2nd half - he was exceptional.
Steve_Walsh5 Posted 20 December 2015 Share Posted 20 December 2015 Said it in another thread yesterday, I had to laugh yesterday when Deulofeu did about 8 step overs and Fuchs just watched him then got bored and nicked the ball away.
cjslcfc Posted 20 December 2015 Share Posted 20 December 2015 He's got to be up there as one of the best LBs in the league.Certainly wouldn't swap him for anyone right now

Lionator Posted 20 December 2015 Share Posted 20 December 2015 I honestly can't think of a fit LB in the PL who's better right now. He's not the Austrian national team captain for no reason.

Sly Posted 21 December 2015 Share Posted 21 December 2015 He's got to be up there as one of the best LBs in the league. Certainly wouldn't swap him for anyone right now Fuchs or Monreal. Both are solid players. Both largely go unnoticed.
HighPeakFox Posted 21 December 2015 Share Posted 21 December 2015 I'm on record as having Fuchs as my favourite current player, his job on Deulofeu cemented that - calmness personified
shen Posted 21 December 2015 Share Posted 21 December 2015 Hope we get to see his prowess as a direct free kick taker. Obviously with Mahrez in the team, I presume Fuchs is not first choice for these so it might be a while before we do see him whack one in.
Fox92 Posted 21 December 2015 Share Posted 21 December 2015 And people thought Konchesky was steady enough... lol FOOLS!!! Fuchs is a God send! Offers so much in so many ways Konchesky was "steady enough", as was Berner. But Fuchs is superb. On a different level to any left back I've seen here. Don't even mention Konchesky and Berner in the same breath. Konchesky was s*it and played a large part in our initial run to the bottom of the league last season and was consistently the weak link in both our promotion season and last season. ScouseFox Posted 21 December 2015 Share Posted 21 December 2015 he wasnt as likeable (except when he grew his hair back RESPECT) but he was a comfortably better left back from game one to game five thousand of his career. obviously.

I think you just prefer him because he played (terribly) for Liverpool. Agreed on the hair thing though, pretty sure he just did it to wind Rooney up. AKCJ Posted 21 December 2015 Share Posted 21 December 2015 Fuchs looks like a 20m player. Oozes class, quality, professionalism and leadership. If Kante doesn't win Premier League signing of the season then it's because of Fuchs.

Swiper Posted 21 December 2015 Share Posted 21 December 2015 It's funny to think back to the summer when we had a handful of Schalke fans telling us how poor his defensive skills were. He's been brilliant.
Fox92 Posted 21 December 2015 Share Posted 21 December 2015 Konchesky was pure shite. No he wasn't. He was decent for a side such as ours, but Fuchs is just pure quality.
