AKCJ Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 Yet they think they're going to fill up a 40k stadium. Tony Fernandes has got them all, hook line and sinker.

Bilo Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 They're not the biggest club, but there are mitigating circumstances. Indifferent form. Expensive tickets. Lack of trains. Live on Sky. Going to a club who could win the league that day is never pleasant. I'd have been amazed if they brought anywhere near the allocation.

Harry - LCFC Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 They've got little to play for really. Not sure I blame them for turning down an expensive ticket for a relatively unimportant game.

DennisNedry Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 Don't forget that QPR is a small club.
1964FOX Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 But they are going to storm the league, far too big a club for the championship.....oh hang on.
Jace Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 Small club on tv with no trains many of their fans probably depend on public transport much more than other clubs
lestajigs Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 No trains before kick off, I heard? There is trains to Bedford, then a replacement buss from there, so transport is no excuse!! But they don't have much to play for tbf!!

Replacement buses between Bedford and Kettering, still no excuse though. Hopefully QPR are now concentrating on the play-offs.

I'd say transport is very much an excuse - getting from London to the midlands by midday having to go via replacement services isn't a simple, easy task. ealingfox Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 Why are there no trains? As a London club the "expensive" tickets thing doesn't really wash, but it is fair to say it's no surprise they've got nowhere near 3k for the other reasons mentioned. ceredigion Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 Why the media persist in focussing on QPR is beyond me. Of the London clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, Fulham and Crystal Palace are all bigger clubs, with larger support and prouder histories. QPR are on a level with Charlton and Milwall, and just slightly above Orient and Brentford.

Bayfox Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 Lack of trains. Ok furry muff. But for a comparison. Same time ko. Expensive tickets, 4 days before Christmas. We still shifted a few.
