Leicester where they should be - sick of this

Recommended Posts

I can't stand this line of argument, trotted out by mainly  non Foxes fans.

We we won the league, lost one admittedly outstanding player and spent 70million.

How can our current position be the right one?

Through winning the league did we or should we have changed that sense of our 'normal place'?

Hate that argument. Pundits act like we're a League 2 club who got lucky.  We are bigger than Hull, Burnley, Bournemouth, Swansea, Watford, Palace and Stoke. We're same size as Southampton and West Brom and we should aim to be where they are.

What exactly judges where a club "should be" anyway? The media is just still fuming that we made a joke of their toxic money bloated industry last year by winning with an actual team as opposed to money. It's made a lot of people very uncomfortable.

"Clubs other than the big ones should have no ambition"

Absolutely this.

Does my nut in. Carragher is the worst "last season was a freak" no it wasn't mate, apart from Arsenal we destroyed everyone. That's not a freak

We won the league because we were the best team in the league, end of.

Non city fans are loving this now because their standard top 4 wasn't UTD, arsenal, Chelsea & city for once

Also getting annoyed with calling our players bad. Merson said Palace have better players than us. Carragher have been calling our squad average for 2 months now.

Michael Owen has decided to dish it out to our players now as well.

What does Jamie Carragher actually know about Football outside of the big clubs. Only played for Liverpool. Lowest league position 8th and that year got 2 cup finals and 1 cup. We're pets to those big club people. They don't understand the concept of being out of the top 10.

It's elitist shite, " you got lucky, now get back to your place".

Why should we accept relegation just because pundits and

the press think we should be so grateful for winning the league.

If we were Chelsea or Arsenal no one would be saying we should

put up with being shit.

Another argument I'm sick of is if Ranieri finished 15th last season he'd still be in a job. It's been trotted out so much in the last 48 hours people are stating it as fact. If that's the case why did Palace and Swansea sack their manager when they finished 12th-15th last season? And Ranieri have spent  £80m.

Yeh, during our slating on Soccer Saturday I'm sure it was Merson who said

" clubs like Leicester, Hull and Bournemouth". Well we're not a club like

Hull or Bournemouth.

The insults thrown at the players, club and it's staff is atrocious. Ex players are have really left there professional hat at home and just letting rip. They feel it's ok, because it's Leicester. It's appalling. If this doesn't motivate the players, nothing will.

Oh, and as for Michael Owen, he couldn't get into the man united reserves either.

Simple comments by simple people who give comments to appeal to the masses.

Social media is full of comments from 15 year olds from Italy and Mozambique stating 'Lester are the worst, get dmoted like if u agre'.The real footballing thinkers have even their true insight and only their voices are respected. Insignificants like Owen at el arent worth the clickbait.

The league doesn't lie we deserved to win it last year and below par performances this year leave us where we deserve to be.

Not one player has been anywhere near last years form far from it.

So to be fair they took all the credit and increased contracts and rewards last year so taking some criticism Seely is expected.

its down to them now

Jamie Carragher has been banging on about it constantly.

Sick of it.

JC keeps banging on about leicester being a team of very average players,so I hope he doesn't think Liverpool are a team top class players

For the most part he's right. but he won't half look silly if we manage to pull off a win on Monday night.

Owen's "half these players" are Danny Drinkwater who was a young player out on loan at lower league clubs mostly, Danny Simpson who was on loan at then signed permanently for Newcastle whilst Owen was at Man United plus Zieler who moved to Hannover a year after Owen joined.

So, "half these players" are three who were mostly at other clubs during his three years at Man United. Thanks for the insight, Michael.
