Morgan is an accident waiting to happen. Schlupp is such a mixed bag Im not quite sure what to think. Some brilliance and some utter dross.

Depends on the game for majority of any match. Different teams have different threats.

De Laet at RB; Schlupp at LB if 'depends on the game' wasn't there.

as much as i hate to admit it and as much as the lad winds me up with his woefull decisions and finshing, schlupp is the man

He had a spell of a few games in January where he was amazing, but then hes gone bak to square one! If he applied himself and focused 100% every game he would be awesome

De laet RB Schlupp LB

in our current situation we need to win so 4 at the back is enough.

if we climb to a position where we dont have to win maybe then we can change it but i cant see nigel changing a winning team so it could be this way forever.

For me i'm not the biggest fan of Schlupp being played as a left back, I just don't think he's a defender. He's an attacker that should be playing on the wing. I'd have De Laet at RB and Konchesky at LB.

Fickle fans once again. Earlier in the season Richie de laet not only got grief on this pathetic forum but he also took personal attacks on his twitter account. For me he was one of our best players last season and could have been this season if he wasn't the victim of a witch hunt this season. One "well known city fan" on twitter @bertlcfc said the other week " you'll see how good Simpson actually is now de laet is back!" Hahahahaha couldn't be further from the truth! De laet makes Simpson look Sunday league standard!

The 2 fullbacks that played today weren't brilliant. But I think they're the best we have. I think they'll get better game by game if we stick with the 4 at the back.

We have to outscore the opposition as we are awful at the back, regardless of the personnel or shape. So with that in mind, I would go with schlupp and de laet, as going forward these help support the attack like no others.

I voted Simpson right back and de-leat left back.

This is the one position the club and manager should have invested in.

Konchesky just isn't good enough anymore, and schlupp is a liability at left back.

The team is desperate for a quality left back, which we haven't got, and for me de-leat is to one footed to play there, but still a better option than the other two.

Shocking that De Laet had such a long spell out the side, he's miles and miles better than Simpson.

Schlupp just lacks concentration and goes to sleep too often. Konchesky woeful. I'd probably stick with Schlupp and hope he can focus.

Be inclined to agree with you, but De Laet away at Man U showed me a right footed player just can't play left back. He constantly tried to bring it onto his right foot. It doesn't work.

Shocking that we've had the worst left back in the league bar none, for the majority of the season.

Stick with yesterday's back 4 now. We need consistency. There's been too much chopping and changing this season all over the pitch

Stability in the side now, I agree, undetstandings and partnerships are going to be needed, if we are going to stand a chance.

I personally would want to stick with 4-4-2 with De Laet and Schlupp, as it carries more attacking threat and feel Huth has made a big difference to our defensive strength since joining and means the back line in a 4-4-2 shape is more settled.

If we're going with a back 4 then Schlupp can't be left back, he gets murdered as we saw yesterday.

If we're playing a back 5 then we can get away with playing Schlupp as the left back will need to be more attacking and he gets more protection from the extra CB.

De Laet at Right Back is a no brainer ahead of Simpson.
