Steven Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Jürgen Klopp to leave Borussia Dortmund at end of season http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/apr/15/jurgen-klopp-asks-leave-borussia-dortmund
lgfualol Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Even if Pearson was to go, I think Klopp is a bit optimistic.
MC Prussian Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Didn't take long for someone to start such a thread, did it? http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/80372-the-european-football-thread/page-56
filbertway Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 I love Klopp. I wouldn't say there's no chance as I hate having egg on my face. Probably about a 0.5% chance he'd join us though. The guy does seem to love a project though. This is like the celebrity "free bang" list that couples have - Klopp would be on my list of manager's to bang have at the club instead of Nigel.
MPH Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 If Nigel does keep us in the prem - which was the target at the beginning of the season, then it would be pretty harsh to sack him....
Finnegan Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 If Nigel does keep us in the prem - which was the target at the beginning of the season, then it would be pretty harsh to sack him.... Not really. If we grow a pair, attack teams and climb to safety I'd be asking why he hadn't trusted the same players to play in that style months ago. I don't think I'd like him swearing at reporters, tackling opposition players or abusing fans if I were our image conscious Thai owners, either. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he goes regardless.

Year older and a year wiser? Its his first full season in the prem. If we wanted a manager who knew the prem inside out then why didnt we employ one in the first place? And without wishing to go back round to old discussions... What would of happened if we had got the targets we wanted in the first place? and isnt that the only reason why our football director got the sack? Your points about the Thais possibly being image concious are valid though...
FrankieADZ Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 I have to admit, I'd love it if the guy came here, but we've got as much chance as man landing on the Sun. either way...be good value seeing him in the prem if he does come, top coach & a general good guy.
Leicesterpool Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Klopp no chance, Klopp will only likely join a top six club. He may even get linked to the Man City job.
john ridley Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Think if he goes anywhere it'd be West ham or maybe Newcastle.
AKCJ Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Think if he goes anywhere it'd be West ham or maybe Newcastle. Good one.
Danno Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Think if he goes anywhere it'd be West ham or maybe Newcastle.I bet he doesn't know either club exists.
Bayfox Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Talk sport still talking up the Warburton link tonight. If we go down they seem to think it's a shoe in.
Tuna Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Klopps a shoe in for Man City. They think they are getting Guardiola!
FrankieADZ Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 They think they are getting Guardiola! im not sure he'll want to go there atm....unless City offer him at least 2 lorry loads of cash .
fuchsntf Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Not just a fanatical city fan, but also fanatical Dortmund fan. last 15 years more times in the Suedtribune, or even sitting elsewhere in football heaven at the signal iduna park, than Citys KP. But as much as I would love to get Klopp at the KP, I can see him trying one of the sleeping giants. Some club that can offer financial clout. So you understand where my loyalities lie. LCFC vs BVB, 100% the Foxes not biena maja.
