MPH Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 I think a lot of folks remember this from the not-not-too-distant future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Wait... what year is this?
MPH Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 What's that 13-year-old article got to do with this? I guess he is reminding us what happened when we started paying over the odds on wages...
Wymsey Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 I guess he is reminding us what happened when we started paying over the odds on wages... I thought he was referring to Lineker; was probably on high wages when playing for us, but donated some of his personal fortune to the club at a time when it really needed it...
Jace Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Last time we paid over the odds wages look what happened we ended up with Michael Johnson
The Bear Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 The current TV deal in the Prem will make sure nothing like that happens unless you go overboard with overpaid wasters like QPR. Unless you get a complete shyster like Redknapp in charge that won't happen though.
Grewks Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 He has been played I'm the middle against players who aren't as good as in the PL. Trust me when I say a central role is not his game. His game is based around pace and power with a bit of skill and plenty of stepovers thrown in. Along with drifting into the middle and lamping it hard at the goal to score. He's been relegated once, not twice. We bought him in the Championship, not the Prem - he's never played there yet. In a 3-4-1-2....the role behind the strikers isn't exactly a central one. It suits a winger far more than a central player....he is a winger right?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 June 2015 Posted 18 June 2015 Wait where's the Bakary Sako thread!Don't be daft
The_77 Posted 19 June 2015 Posted 19 June 2015 Wait... what year is this?Hahahah. Past! I meant past! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dbtcity Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Looks on twitter that he is close to signing for besiktas
TJB-fox Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Be an interesting signing and wouldnt be oppose to it, but also wouldnt lose any sleep should he not sign
yorkie1999 Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Looks on twitter that he is close to signing for besiktasmakes you wonder, are we even after him, are we even after any of these rumoured signings. The first thing I always think if we're aledgedly looking at someone is who is going to get the push from the current side. Who are we going to drop to get Sako in because he's not a bench warmer and were not going to drop vardy kram or ulloa. The only replacement I can see is james because of his injury.
Tuna Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Looks on twitter that he is close to signing for besiktas Thought he wanted to stay in the midlands!
Swiper Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Seemed like most of the Wolves fans on Twitter were very supportive of him wanting to sign with a Prem team. I wonder how they'll feel if he ends up in Turkey.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 not surprised if he goes Turkey, they do like offering stupid wages out there .
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 makes you wonder, are we even after him... You'd suspect it's pretty likely he's on our radar given how close we were to signing him last summer.
Bayfox Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 world of difference between being worried about it due to our past and actually trusting our current owners not to be incompetent about money Which sven proved they can be.
yorkie1999 Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 You'd suspect it's pretty likely he's on our radar given how close we were to signing him last summer.and since then we've signed 2 more strikers.
Mark_w Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 and since then we've signed 2 more strikers. He's not a striker.
Carl the Llama Posted 21 June 2015 Posted 21 June 2015 Which sven proved they can be. You don't think they learned a lesson there? I'm sure they have.
