LukeFoxes Posted 7 May 2015 Author Posted 7 May 2015 Same as Newcastle. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Yea you have a good point and I suppose he probably won't change it. I'd imagine Nugent will feature but from the bench. Just think if he is fit enough, would he offer more than Mahrez in behind the strikers? I think Nugent will get stuck in more and know what it takes to dig in this weekend
TheUltimateWinner Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Kasper Schmeichel. (if I get anything wrong in the spelling it was never my strength right) Wes Morgan Huthy Vasilewuiski The bright one on the right hand wing Mr Schlupp The one and only Cambiasso Andy King Little Mahrez Big Leo (You cost a fortune) Jamie Vardeh Sort the subs out another day. Corners, free kicks and all that shite can take care of themselves.
VinceNoir Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 King for James if he's 100% fit. James hasn't been bad at all, but King and Cambiasso appear to compliment each other brilliantly. I think this game will be similar to the Swansea game in which our midfielders were sensational. I'd possibly bring Nuge in for Mahrez too. I'd imagine he'd be fired up playing against Southampton and Mahrez has been slightly underwhelming recently. Other than that unchanged
weller54 Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Nuge in for Mahrez, otherwise unchanged for me. This... And a Nuge double!
lgfualol Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Same team as Newcastle. Mahrez creates plenty of chances and I like having him and Albrighton crossing balls in from all over the pitch. If Mahrez's great crosses to Ulloa and Vardy were converted then he'd be in everyone's teams. I'd understand if Nugent was put back in the team though.
HighPeakFox Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 The backbone of the team picks itself, there's really only one or two spots now worth discussing - I'm just sorry I cannot attend this match

Gerard Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 The backbone of the team picks itself, there's really only one or two spots now worth discussing - I'm just sorry I cannot attend this match Yep, pointless discussing the team. We already know the nine players and only James or Mahrez's place is under threat.
davieG Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 King's not available Leicester City striker David Nugent is back in the reckoning for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League visit of Southampton after recovering from his calf problem, according to manager Nigel Pearson. The former Preston North End man has missed the Foxes’ last four games after picking up a calf injury in the warm-up ahead of the 2-0 victory over Swansea City last month. Midfielder Andy King, meanwhile, remains side-lined with his calf problem, but has made significant progress after picking up a knock against Chelsea. “Nugent is back in the reckoning which is a big plus for us,” Pearson said. “I’d rule Andy King out for this weekend, but he’s made very good progress and has done quite a bit of training, but not with the group today. “If circumstances were slightly different then there would be a possibility of him being involved. He’s an important player for us so it’s in anyone’s interests to push him, so we’ll rule him out just on that basis. Everybody else really looks like they’ll be available for the weekend.” Pearson went on to explain the benefit of not having a midweek fixture for Jamie Vardy, who has been nursing a foot problem in recent weeks. The City boss continued: “It’s a similar sort of situation as it’s been for a few weeks. We’re trying to manage the load. We’ve had a free week so it’s given us a bit of time to give him a bit more of a rest. He’ll go into the preparation to the game in the same way that he has for the last few games." With striker Leonardo Ulloa and defender Marcin Wasilewski also fit for the weekend’s game, Pearson added: “We’ve had a few bumps and bruises, but nothing that’s not manageable. Ulloa’s training. “We could afford to take Wasyl off (against Newcastle) because we were in a pretty strong position during last week’s game. It’s always preferable if you can do that during games to protect players. Again, he’s available.” Read more at http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/pearson-nugent-in-contention-2446071.aspx#IX8jRyoBmIRiFXsG.99
Scotch Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Yeah, agree with the majority on here.... Nugent for Mahrez. I would have King in beside EC but if he's out,it has to be Matty James! on a side note,I don't think its any coincidence that our form picked up once Nige found his best formation/team selection and it really gives us a good base to work from next year.
kingcarr21 Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 KASPER WASYL HUTH MORGAN ALBRIGHTON JAMES CAMBIASSO DRINKWATER SCHLUUP VARDY ULLOA Have Nugent and Mahrez on the bench to start. Think we need to keep it tight in the middle. We are on a great run but Southampton are still a good team who can punish us regardless of their injuries/suspensions

iancognito Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Depending on how fit he is I'd probably start Nugent, more attacking intent than Drinkwater but gives us more energy than Mahrez who didn't seem comfortable in the hole against Newcastle. If he's got any doubts over Nuge, start unchanged and just give him the last half an hour.

Ollie93 Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 This is the only formation isn't it? King is injured so swap for drinky
Merging Cultures Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 King is injured so swap for drinky Booo! But Drinky can do the job.
LCFCCKEANO Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 I reckon Drinkwater could start over Mahrez if we're talking what Pearson would be. Nuge isnt back to full fitness and against Southampton I could see him wanting a bit extra in the middle of the park, like vs Chelsea or when we shut up shop vs Swansea at the end
cc_star Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Schmeichel Was Huth Wes Albrighton James Cambiasso Schlupp Nugent Ulloa Vardy Hamer, Konchesky, RDL, Drinkwater, King, Krameric, Mahrez

Also wouldn't bother putting Upson on the subs bench, if there's any problems in the back three just bring on De Laet. I'd throw Knocky on the bench, however sadly that's extremely unlikely.
