Mark_w Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Win next week and we're effectively safe (definitely if hull lose) Win next week and we are safe, Sunderland wouldn't be able to catch us.
Guest ttfn Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Win next week and we are safe, Sunderland wouldn't be able to catch us. Sunderland still have 3 games left unfortunately.
Swiper Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Nugent is injured again. I wonder if he re-aggravated that calf.
ScouseFox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Sunderland still have 3 games left unfortunately. yeah but they're shit
reynard Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Win next week and we are safe, Sunderland wouldn't be able to catch us. Not true as they would have two games to play. Anyone who thinks this is done and dusted should think again. We were good in the first half and did enough in the second. It was a professional performance and just what was needed after Sunderland's win. Great goal from Mahrez and we worked hard. But next week will be much tougher and a lot more physical. We've given ourselves a great chance but that is all we've done and it could still go wrong. Spurs are dire and I can see Hull winning there. There is a possibility though that QPR could beat Newcastle. We just need to win our last two games at the moment and not hope other sides do us a favour.
trabuch Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 You can get 40-1 for us being relegated. I am starting to relax. I (and the bookies) think we are safe.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Brilliant performances all over the pitch today, great atmosphere, now onto the biggest game of the season
sdb Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 great result and a thoroughly professional performance that we just wouldn't have been capable of a few months ago we are NOT safe, however. 37 points will not be enough this season...
Mark_w Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Sunderland still have 3 games left unfortunately. Oh bugger.
foxfanazer Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Didn't expect us to have it that easy if I'm perfectly honest. Credit to us though for pressuring them and doing what we are good at. So proud of this team and our fans
Guest Bilo Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 great result and a thoroughly professional performance that we just wouldn't have been capable of a few months ago we are NOT safe, however. 37 points will not be enough this season... It looks like 38 will be though, draw against Sunderland next week and Hull have to win both games to beat our total due to inferior goal difference.
BlueSi13 Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 It looks like 38 will be though, draw against Sunderland next week and Hull have to win both games to beat our total due to inferior goal difference. One more draw and we are there I reckon! It has been an absolute dream watching this football club of ours the past few weeks (my ears are still ringing from today!). If any players or friends/family of the club staff are reading this. Thank you!!!
Footnote75 Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 When I saw Sunderland win I was seriously concerned, but what a result!!
shailen Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Remember when Hull and Newcastle both lost on the final day and Hull stayed up and Newcastle went down. It's happening again!
AyewJoking Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Also, if Man Utd don`t need anything on the final day at Hull, i can`t see them being to keen to relegate a team managed by one of their former heroes! How many of Man Utds current first team played with Bruce?
Mayofox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Sunderland still have 3 games left unfortunately. Their last 2 games are away at Arsenal & Chelsea. Can anyone see them even drawing those games?
LJS Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 We are very close. One more point and Hull dropping three from the last two games guarantees survival. I'd be amazed if we don't do it now.
st albans fox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 How many of Man Utds current first team played with Bruce? None I would think Astonishing effort from front to back today. They would have created some decent openings if we hadn't been at it all the way through. Jeff and Marc nullified their full backs. If AK isn't back next week then we are starting to creak a bit in the middle. I think Sunderland will be dropping deep and there will be plenty of space in a stretched Middle third for us to play in.
dayday Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Have to say I didn't enjoy today's game, was so nervous after the Sunderland win,but credit to the lads a truly professional job done today. Robert Huth take a bow, absolutely immense today, just so glad we have him in our side. Thank god I can relax this evening,up the city
gregsy Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 I felt privliged to witness that performance AGAIN today!!!Swansea,Newcastle and today, almost mirror images!!from first whistle we set out to " earn the right to play"!,,then got foothold in game, scored first ,when on top, then bullied the opponents to almost submission!!shame vardyy didn't finish fantastic move to make it 3-0,,could been proper rout if he had, but,we look assured, and able to manage the games ,when tight, like Swansea 1-0, up,and today at 2 - 0,, !!forget the possession stats !today ,like Swansea and Newcastle games, would off been stopped had they been "boxing bouts!!!
nnfox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Tactically spot on. That is how you win games in the PL. Well done Nige & the team.
Jordan Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 That back three is absolutely immense. Robert Huth is a bad man. Haven't Hull got a terrible record in May too?If I'm not mistaken, haven't Hull lost every Premier League game they've ever played in May?
Rincewind Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 How did it take so long to get it right? Before they were just short. I just hope they can keep most of the squad. They gel so well.
Adster Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Aside from the victory, you can add another 9,385,379 to the Sadio Mane dive count for this season. Absolutely pathetic player, glad he got his comeuppance.
