Mayofox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 It's great that we are getting goals from loads of players, not merely relying on one or two strikers.
Swarles Barkley Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Is this geezer really having a go at nugent. Hes been injured and were 2-0 with 3mins to go!!! Im kinda glad hes not risking injury
Raj Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 This is blooming great isn't it??? If I was a drinker I'd be getting pissed!!!! Enjoy it...Let's finish the job off next week and enjoy the QPR game without having a heart attack!!!!
trabuch Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 We can't rely on Spurs - they have done us no favours this season. That said - the way we are playing at the moment we won't have to. We have done this ourselves. Nigel Pearson - it takes a while but he gets there in the end. Thank heavens we didn't sack him.
Collibosher70 Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Great win..played lads ..and Nigel ..didn't think I'd say that this season
fridoux Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 huth made a big diffrence since day 1, vardy just last 2 months. great run
Tielemans63 Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 We can't rely on Spurs - they have done us no favours this season. I agree. Spurs seem to have checked out already this season. To be fair they're probably knackered after being in the EL. I think Hull will win that one. Maybe not united though.
ScouseFox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 If we have to rely on hull losing both their games because we can't even get a point from Sunderland and QPR then we only have ourselves to blame.
Guest Bilo Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 I agree. Spurs seem to have checked out already this season. To be fair they're probably knackered after being in the EL. I think Hull will win that one. Maybe not united though. 4 points from us and they can win both for me.
kingfox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 We did the business going forward in the first half, we did the business at the back in the second half. In the first half it was probably the best Mahrez has played since February time, Vardy was yet again working hard, Ulloa a bit unlucky with fouls but his link play with Vardy & Mahrez was quality. Albrighton also worked his socks off. Come second half it was all about the defence, the back three were immense today. Huth has been the real difference maker, solid as a rock and my MOTM today. Wes has looked much better recently as well, he has got stick this season but he always gives 100%, top performance from him today. Wasilewski yet again proving his consistency with another solid display. Will also praise Drinkwater, defensively he was class especially in the last 20 mins. Roll on Sunderland
AyewJoking Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 6 wins in 7. Hopefully make it 9 in 10. In the Premier League! Thats league title form. In the Premier League! Will we ever repeat this or even get close to it? Even if we go on to become a top 6 club? In the Premier League!
AKCJ Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 I was shitting it when Sunderland won. I think we were probably favourites to spend the week in the bottom 3 before we kicked off. Awesome result, well earned and we've now got a fabulous chance to stay in this league. Get a result against Sunderland and we've done it.
smudger63 Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Spurs just got spanked 3-0 by Stoke. I wouldn't rely on them for anything. Also, if Man Utd don`t need anything on the final day at Hull, i can`t see them being to keen to relegate a team managed by one of their former heroes!
Monsell1976 Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Saturday the big one, win it we are safe, then other results don't mean anything
Foxhateram Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 The big teams tend to raise their games again for the last few games, especially if they are home games. I can't see the teams around us picking up points away at the big boys. Think that win today has completed the mammoth task. A win next week just to be sure, please lads, please.
Jack1993 Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 I was more or less the opposite end of the ground but was their keepers' shoulder barge/push on our ballboy bad? Or just a strong crowd reaction? It looked unnecessary (the push) but as I say I was probably too far away to see... Sorry if this had already been mentioned
GloverFox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 ... just a very good win against one of the very top teams in the Premier League ... looking at the table now compared to Christmas and my pulse has finally settled, but we're not there just yet so no complacency ... just belief and no regrets from the players ... Win every tackle, every point and play the game ... C'mon Leicester ... we Love you because your ours!
Kitchandro Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Can Harry Kane just not be a total cvnt for one day in his life and send Hull down.
lnkstern Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Nineteen points in seven+ months, then eighteen points in five weeks! I love this club! Go Foxes!
Robin JD Popley Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 After a shit 72 hours (forgive me - I am a Liberal, entitled to feeling like shit at present); today was DEFINITELY what I needed. For all their pretty passing, they didn't really offer a lot whereas our boys? Brilliant - just hope Matty is ok. Loved seeing Walshie and the Kasbian boys on the pitch before kick off too. Really got the atmosphere going even more. Another super afternoon at the KP with the rest of my Leicester City family. WE ARE STAYING UP; WE ARE STAYING UP!!!!!!!
Grey Fox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Probably spurs losing today, is the nail in the coffin for Hull. WHY... Spurs last game at home, they will be up for it. If Spurs do win , Hull are down.!! City safe no matter what. Hull would need to beat Man.utd by 3-4 goals and city lose twice 2-0 or more. This is a season of twists and turns at the bottom, but cant see foxes letting it slip now. Newcastle anything possible , Papa Cisse might just be their saviour. I said 9pts before the game, I keep to it, city will stay unbeaten. Pearson Doubters...eat your hats, FoD, you should be tarred and feathered with Ostrich plumage, and buried in the sand, head up., This is not true. Currently the differnce is 3 goals (4 including goals scored). If Hull and us both lose 1-0 next week then the differnce remains the same. Hull would then need to beat Man Utd by 3 goals if we lost to QPR by 1. Or any combination of 4, so we could lose by 2 and they win by 2. If we lost by more than one goal aginst Sunderland, then the swing becomes 3 and so on, which would only require a 1 goal loss for us and 2 goal win for them. So although a loss for Hull next week makes it highly likely that we stay up, I wouldn't go as far as to say we would be safe no matter what. Strange things can sometimes happen on the final day.
LanguedocFox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 One thing that pisses me off is the way the media and the commentators talk only about our energy and our work-rate. They never mention the skill in the team. But the goals from Mahrez were both class, and players like Cambiasso, Albrighton, and Schlupp show real class on the ball. There were times when we were playing one-touch football that was lovely to watch. Our three-man defensive wall are incredible, playing off one another, watching each other, backing-up each other, and although Vardy didn't have his best game, he showed some lovely touches. This is a really good team who play good football, and it's about time we got a bit of credit for that. On the other hand, do I really give a flying fvck? Well no, not when we've won six out of our last seven games. Continue to think City's team is a bunch of journeymen professionals who just got lucky - that will do just fine.
nlukka Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 If ever there was an example of defending from the front, for me, today was it. Vardy and Mahrez barely gave their defence and midfield a moment of peace; Mahrez in particular was so impressive given that, as well as the 2 goals, his defensive work is not a side of his game we see very often. The back 3 were immense, winning everything in the air and preventing Southampton from having any clear-cut opportunities. It was one of those games today where no-one at all had a bad game; each player executed their individual role perfectly, and collectively we were colossus. Only downside was the injury to Matty James - hoping it's not as bad as it looked at the time. We're almost there now, which given where we were before the West Ham game is absolutely unbelievable!
