HighPeakFox Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Which game was it where you thought 'ok, if we win this one, I think we'll actually pull this off!' ? I remember quite clearly that I felt that way before Swansea, and once we'd won it, I really wish I'd gone and put money on it there and then.
Buggsteam Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Swansea. Winning that game against a decent side gave so much confidence to the players and fans.
shailen Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 West Ham. Because I still believed we could do it before the game. Although that was based on other teams not picking as many points as they have, because I thought 34 points would be enough for survival.
sylofox Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 None I thought looking at the fixtures from spurs onwards we could do it if still in touch. That was at xmas. All I will say is I never thought we would need so many points at the time. Gobsmacked we have doe it needing so many points but did think we had it in us.
nativefox Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Burnley. If we'd lost that one we'd have been dragged right back into the battle at the bottom.
Munshi Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 West Brom, winning a vital game in that fashion and then going on the fluff it up, nope couldn't see that happening and plus I could see the influence Huth was having and that was enough to convince me right there.
LanguedocFox Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 I've said it before, but I have mates who can vouch for it. I never thought we would go down. But after that 4-3 loss against Spurs, I was absolutely convinced that if we continued to play like that, we were going to stay up with points to spare.
Harry - LCFC Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 I thought if we beat Burnley it'd be more likely that we'd stay up than go down. Somewhat proud I and others didn't write us off when it was looking gloomy.

But after that 4-3 loss against Spurs, I was absolutely convinced that if we continued to play like that, we were going to stay up with points to spare. Tottenham was a strange game. Unusual match to watch but also odd in that I walked out of White Hart Lane feeling relatively optimistic, felt as if the battle had been reignited after a serious dampening the previous week.
Marmite Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Southampton for me. I felt a bit deflated after watching Sunderland beat Everton and feared we would bottle it under pressure. Needless to say we didnt and I knew then we had made it
LCCFox96 Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Vardy's goal at WBA marked a surge in form but the element of fortune that carried us over the line for the win at Burnley and picking up a colossal 3 points at Turf Moor was when we truly turned the fight on it's head!
Kitchandro Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 After Swansea I was quietly but confident. After Burnley I was convinced.
Fox92 Posted 20 May 2015 Posted 20 May 2015 Burnley. West Ham, West Brom and Swansea were big wins but winning at Turf Moor did it for me.
Steven Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 I've said it before, but I have mates who can vouch for it. I never thought we would go down. But after that 4-3 loss against Spurs, I was absolutely convinced that if we continued to play like that, we were going to stay up with points to spare. I believe all of this apart from the "I have mates" bit.
AyewJoking Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 got the newcastle result up on teletext (retro) and we thrashed them. I knew then that we werent fúcking about.
Leicester_Numan Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 I was saying on Twitter, pre-season, that we'd struggle for quite a while but because of the run-in, we'd stay up easily in the end. That's how it's turned out but in a more dramatic, nerve wracking fashion than I imagined. I think the Spurs game was the turning point for the squad and when I really started to believe we were going to do it. It would also have been very easy to have lost all hope at that point. To play so well and lose to 2 pieces of absolutely rotten luck and a poor decision from the ref, it was the story of the season really but there was definitely a change in the air, it was a palpable feeling emanating from the team and some of the fans.
bovril Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 I think Swansea. We looked like a team in control of our destiny. Weirdly the least optimistic I felt was after the Newcastle game when the other teams all won. It felt almost like a defeat.
Livid Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Swansea I started to believe after Burnley I thought it really was on.

Weirdly the least optimistic I felt was after the Newcastle game when the other teams all won. It felt almost like a defeat. The same here came away from that game elated, thinking we had put the pressure on all the teams around us who then went and won. Three hours later I was deflated.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 The Matt Taylor miss was pivotal for me. If he scores we'd struggle to leave with a point. The miss revitalised us immediately and the rest is history as they say.
