Rumours that advocaat is close to resigning. Expect Nigel's name would be linked, given what happened last year. hope that doesn't create some uncertainty behind the scenes here.

A few Sunderland fans hoping for a loss maybe today? Think Nige would be an excellent appointment for them although I don't think they have enough to stay up. He'd get them straight back up though and in a much better shape than they are now. Got a mate who's a Sunderland fan that wants them to go down just so that can 'start again'. Can understand his reasoning but as we know the championship is no easy league to get out of

Guardian podcast seem to think Viera is their target if Advocaat goes.

Also a lot of talk of a big drinking culture in the Sunderland squad. I doubt Pearson or anyone could turn their season round at least Viera doesn't have much to lose by going there.

How long has Walsh , Shakespeare's contracts got left? Worries me ?

Can we not offer them more money big part of what we do...

Agreed this would be interesting to know their situations and how long their contract's run till.

I know nowadays contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on but think it'd speak volumes if we could 'tie them down'.

Think they'd just reject any new deals offered if their plan's were to leave when Pearson get's a new job.

Why Matt? It would mean that they get a big payout if we decided to get rid of them and they can always resign if they want to leave. No one in the backroom staff rejects a big contract in football. Not like players where there are fees involved.

Bit of a poor game at Selhurst Park. Zaha the only one doing anything decent. Agree with Savage that Palace are playing unusual tactics when the defence have the ball - pumping the ball long to Dwight Gayle who has Dawson/McAuley to deal with lol

Possibly something is in place already?

Cabaye's corners are awful, even by our standards. Palace should be winning this but i have them and Wolves in a bet so obviously they're not

I have the same bet and over 2.5 goals so Palace don't have a chance really

Vardys leading scorer position under threat! Good old Newcastle had better give him as easy a game when it comes to our turn!!

Look at the table, bottom 3 already becoming cut adrift.

Who will go first?

Dick

Wally

Capt. Bellend?

We're 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

After spending the summer certain that at some point we'd be sucked into real trouble (and we obviously still might) I'd be mortified if any of Sunderland, Newcastle or Villa got above us at any stage this season now.

What is Quinn on? That was a blatant dive.
