Jimothy Posted 5 August 2015 Posted 5 August 2015 In each of the past five seasons, the eventual Premier League winners have started their campaigns on a Monday night. STATS N THAT West Brom for the title then!!
Corky Posted 5 August 2015 Posted 5 August 2015 The 5 live show from Bournemouth was an embarrasment too. When they were talking about Leicester and Claridge was bleating on about "wheres the CV? wheres the CV?" about Ranieri getting the Leicester job. How thick do you have to be not to see what he's done in the game? What a complete tool It's astonishing. The man has managed top clubs all over Europe. His CV is not in question. Some ex-pros/ pundits are seriously narrow-minded when it comes to foreign managers. No way would a British coach be given this grief, Lennon wins three one-team titles and he's the perfect man for us, Sean Dyche won promotion, got relegated and he'd be fine but Ranieri- what's he ever done? Why shouldn't we try and think outside the box when getting a manager?
Leicesterpool Posted 5 August 2015 Posted 5 August 2015 Matt Richie would. Probably for being a lazy bastard. Bournemouth annoy me because even last season they were banging on about being little old Bournemouth with no resources. Their owner is minted! Wasn't so long ago this happened
Master Fox Posted 5 August 2015 Posted 5 August 2015 I really hope we smash Sunderland on Saturday and go top of the league. That would shut these dribbling morons up for a week at least.
EnglishOxide Posted 5 August 2015 Posted 5 August 2015 All these journos sticking the boot into Claudio is winding me up. Its totally unwarranted. It would probably be justified if he took over a team challenging for the title, but he hasn't. As much as I was unenthused by the manager change Ranieri is a nice enough bloke and his CV is excellent when you put it in the context that our expectations are much lower than his achievements. By that notion you would expect him to do well. **** the rest, let's prove them wrong AGAIN.
Guest MattP Posted 5 August 2015 Posted 5 August 2015 To be fair it is quite bizarre how he does keep getting top flight jobs considering how many sackings he has had. He might do well though if things fall right.

FrankieADZ Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 another reason to dislike West Ham then..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33780720
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 I actually love being written off from the start yet again. Siege mentality. Let's rattle some cages.
4everfox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Yes, they have never been in the top flight before. But add those signings to their performance in the Championship last season and you have the best equipped promoted team since Newcastle in 2010. The Doctor Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 I think that's overstating him somewhat. His output isn't THAT stellar. There's plenty better at left wing or behind the striker outside the top 4. Such as? Mahrez ripped sides like arsenal to pieces last season and if we'd not lost the ability to finish our dinner in that October-March spell he'd have notched plenty of assists with his work. I like Matt Ritchie, but mahrez is light years ahead of him.
ScouseFox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 comparing mahrez and matt richie is like comparing a la chouffe with a warm pint of carling
The Doctor Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 comparing mahrez and matt richie is like comparing a la chouffe with a warm pint of carling I'd say more gray goose vs Sainsburys basics vodka
TheSomersetFox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 M'vila's gone Sunderland then, not the best news considering the trouble we had with N'Zonzi here last year
goose2010 Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 M'vila's gone Sunderland then, not the best news considering the trouble we had with N'Zonzi here last year I would be surprised if he plays Saturday and N'Zonzi is a completely different player to M'Villa

He might do well though if things fall right. You're a bit transparent here Matt.We know you didn't want Nige to go but give Claudio his opportunity. I'd like to draw a line under what he'd done or not done PREVIOUSLY (people made that error with Sven) and see what he can do NOW. Really that's what matters.
AyewJoking Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 I actually love being written off from the start yet again. Siege mentality. Let's rattle some cages. calm down batman

You'd have that approach if a convicted peedo moved in next door to your grand children? (Yes I'm comparing Ranieri to a peedo ) (Yes I dont know how to spell paedophile)
Stadt Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 I'm not all that enamoured with Ranieri but him being completely written off like this has meant that I want him to succeed even more now.
Singha Beer Is Good! Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33796997 Oh how I laughed Was just going to post the same thing...the world has gone mad!

The Doctor Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 The likes of Coutinho, Chadli, Ayew at Swansea, Mirallas, Mane. I never actually said Ritchie was better than Mahrez either. Ayew could be but we've not seen him play premiership football, Mirallas isn't a number 10, Mane is a striker, Chadli is shite... Only one you've got close is Coutinho, and when we met on New Years day, Mahrez outshone him.
The Bear Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Mirallas plays wide nowadays. Mane was played deeper in midfield last season. Chadli scored 11 goals for Spurs. Mahrez needs to get 10 goals this season to be up with those. Which could be tough in a side that isn't expected to create as many chances as those other teams mentioned.
