Fuchs

Living in Austria as I do, he is a good signing. But not a replacement for Jeff, more an option. Now we need to go after Soriano. He scored his 32nd Goal of the season for Salzburg last night in the Austrian Cup-Final and he went public in the press saying he would now like to try playing in a 'big' league. Go get him now as there will be lots of Clubs interested. Southampton may make a move as he played with Mane.

Pronounced Fooks.

Cheers buddy

Soriano? Would he cut it at Premier League level?

It's weird that it's spelt Soriano and pronounced fooks. :P

Hopefully we can pick up another bargain or two before the season begins. Picking up a player who's been fairly decent at one of the bigger German teams ain't bad, and this guy looks sound offensively. Fantastic left foot and a set piece specialist will help us no end. Good start and fingers crossed in a couple of weeks we'll be Was, Huth and Cambiasso resigned and maybe another player out of contract.

Would be nice to see Fuchs on the left and Albrighton on the right with Ulloa and Kramaric together, I can see these four linking up very well next season.

It also gives Schlupp a bit of competition for his position, forcing him to work harder and improve which is good!

Is no one else like me and finds this all a little unbelievable?

Ok let me explain. How can he have signed for us yesterday it really is not possible.

News breaks yesterday morning we are after him.

Then it is on the OS we have signed him. Thats the bit I can't get my head round.

If it was on the OS yesterday we must have signed him on Monday or Tuesday.

So how come we never heard a thing till yesterday morning.

This is all a little bit Twighlight Zone to me.

Interesting  that he has been keeping an eye on Leicester over the last few months. Leads me to think he was contacted a while back and had decided then  which is why the deal has gone through quick.

Despite recent events I think most players are only interested in the playing side of the  news. It is the manager, set up and dressing room spirit that seems to have made the biggest impression on him.

Well it's been reported he would move to Swansea so when he was spotted in an airport in Germany they must of assumed he was off to Swansea to sign, not realising our involvement until one local German reporter leaked it and by then he already signed.

That's my theory anyway.

Mane has stepped up (although younger) at Southampton and I doubt the Fee and Wages for Soriano would be un-realistic. May be a better

option than this Japanese striker at Mainz? Whilst the Austrian League is not that great, Salzburg would be a handy Championship Team.

Ok so what is the overall consensus on Fuchs from the people that know something about him? Is he a solid addition to us? how does German football differ from the Prem? We seen Cambiasso adjust to the Prem from Italy but lets face it the guy is a Legend and world class.

Is it a good buy?

Captains an international side, recent Champions League experience. Excellent set piece delivery, excellent crossing, huge throw-ins.

Bundesliga is more like the Prem than the Italian or Spanish leagues.

I can't see anything not to like, tbh.

Seems like a good bit of business then, a very solid player with a ton of experience.

WHOOOOOOSSSSSSHH

My point was how did the OS get it on so quick they are normally 2 days behind when it comes to signings.

I think he saying the OS were no quicker than normal, it was everyone else that was caught napping.

This is exactly how Pearson would conduct every single one of his transfer dealings if it were possible to keep them all out of the public domain with the media scavenging for information. Classic Pearson cloak and dagger style business is this signing.

I believe he means what has happened since the official site has been updated so soon after?

'It is a shrewd signing from Leicester, who will be fighting for survival in the Premier League yet again next season.'

Fuch off!

Its a question of wanting to join a club that wants to go places or a club that is willing to sell of its best players, easy decision

Just watched some videos of his crossing and free kicks. With Albrighton on one side and Fuchs on the other, our strikers will have a great time.

It is also exciting to have someone that seems a bit more reliable with free kicks than our current lot.
