Konchesky will be off, Schlupp and Fuchs will be the left back choices for next season. Schlupp's going nowhere. It's probably the best way to do it. Given we roughly have two players per position, with a one or two extra in CM and at CB for cover, it makes sense to trim the weaker players out of each position and add better quality when we can on a 1 in, 1 out policy. Nothing wrong with that, of course - just saying that Fuchs is a decent player who's played regularly in the Champions League over the past few years.
