Finn Claw II Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Can't see it happening, perhaps this is being done to push the Kante deal through?
Babylon Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 I can only think of one rea$on he might be intere$ted to be hone$t. To fix the S key on your keyboard?
les-tah Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 we wouldnt bid for no reason... its either because we think we can get him... or to rush another deal through elsewhere? Just abit odd how this has all of a sudden gone public aswell.
ScouseFox Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 cheeky lil buy two get the third free on bojan as well pls nige
Alexikokopops Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Cambiasso ? At least that was someone who'd come to the end of his contract and had stated an interest in coming to the Premier League. Nzonzi's said he wants to challenge himself in European competition. Unless Nige has convinced him we're aiming for at least the Europa League this season
Simmo86 Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Great intent. Not going to happen though. Oatcake should be a funny read
dmayne7 Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Shows great ambition from us but not so much from Nzonzi if he came here, as he really should be going to be club in the Europa League as a minimum. He's a class act.
Frost Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Cambiasso ? It's not really comparable to Cambiasso signing. EC was a free agent looking to try a new league at the age of 33, he's been there, done it all. Nzonzi's next move is huge for his career. He's already said he wants to leave for European football - else why would he sign for us instead of staying at Stoke? He probably doesn't want to join a side which spent 5 months bottom of the league last season. I just cannot see why he'd join us. Fair play to the club for showing this level of ambition though.
ealingfox Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 The more I think about it, this is purely tactical isn't it? Hurries up Caen on the Kante deal and helps the Huth deal for us. We've just guaranteed Stoke at least an extra 4 million for Nzonzi if/when they do sell him.
Bayfox Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 Honestly cant think of a more dominant display I seen from an opposing midfielder at the kp last season than what I seen from nzonzi, would be absolutely buzzing if we signed him.... Unfortunately I think he will go to a bigger club expected to challenge for silverware this never really rated him before, but he was very impressive against us. Don't watch him week in week out granted, but if we made this happen would show serious intent for next season. that said, just can't see him coming, at this point in time it is a backwards step.

Stevosevic Posted 24 June 2015 Author Posted 24 June 2015 So it's been accepted? Rob Tanner @RobTannerMerc 6m6 minutes ago #lcfc can now open talks with Nzonzi but he is expected to reject City.

Agreed but, if we can persuade him to join then others of similar calibre will hopefully follow suit and before long it may not be seen as a backward step long term as hopefully we will be challenging for a place in Europe as stated by the owners

Finnaldo Posted 24 June 2015 Posted 24 June 2015 like Nzonzi would ever play for a club as big as us. I know right, not fit enough to clean GTF's boots.
