Steven Nzonzi gone to Sevilla

Can't see it happening but would love him to join.

Getting Huth is more critical, especially if we can persuade Cambiasso to stay.

Guarantee this is Hughes asking Pearson to make an offer to set a minimum rejected price so teams know they have to go over 10m to get him. A little favour for us having Huth. Nzonzi wont come to us. He's good enough to go to a bigger club than us. Cant see it happening

Too good for us

we need to change this mentality. Now Messi...........He is too good for us!

N'Zonzi is too good for the club we have been. We are aiming to be more good (i.e better) than we've been before. if we keep buying players that are not 'too good for us' we won't actually get any better!

STEVEN Nzonzi is set to reject out of hand a shock £7m bid from Leicester City, The Sentinel understands.

Leicester, fresh from negotiating a deal for Robert Huth, stunned Stoke by declaring an unlikely interest in the unsettled midfielder.

They subsequently tabled a bid of £7m - a considerable advance on Sevilla's rejected offer of £3m at the weekend.

Nzonzi will not be attracted to Leicester, however, as sources close to the player see that as a sideways move at best.

He wants the Champions League football that Seville can offer, but the Spanish club will now have to offer at least £7m to stand a chance of signing him.

For Leicester have now done Stoke a huge favour by placing a minimum price tag of £7m on Nzonzi's head.

The 26 year-old Frenchman still has one year left on his Stoke contract, but has given no indication that he wants to sign an extension.

Voted unanimously as Stoke's player-of-the-year recently, his father and agent Fidele believes Nzonzi can win a place in the senior French side if he wins a move to a bigger club than Stoke.

Is he that good? Whenever I've watched Stoke play the crowd tend to get on his back as he doesn't look to pass forward often, may just be their fans though.

I don't think this is anything other than us helping Stoke out; a kind of 'you scratch our back and we'll scratch yours' type thing. They agree to let us have Huth, and then we leak an 'offer' we've made for N'Zonzi, in turn driving his price up whilst also maybe hurrying Caen up with the Kante deal. Win/win for both parties (us and Stoke).

So, I can't see there being any real substance to it...having said that, being linked to players like him, however it comes about, is good news for us and signals our intent! Good to see.

The ones who voted him player of the year?

hmm any competition lawyers on here getting  bit twitchy about these suggestions of collusion?

Fans are not always the definitive answer on a player. If a club wanted Nugent their fans would see a good number of ours slagging him off saying he's fairly worthless but the stats show 60 goals in four seasons and plenty of assists too.

As we know, not being popular at one club doesn't mean they won't be elsewhere.

The more I think about it, this is purely tactical isn't it?

Hurries up Caen on the Kante deal and helps the Huth deal for us. We've just guaranteed Stoke at least an extra 4 million for Nzonzi if/when they do sell him.

They were my thoughts.... Putting the squeeze on Caen....

Not sure if anyone has expressed this view yet but i think it might be a deal with Stoke to raise his price and to put pressure on Caen from our side.

This is either fantastic ambition or fantastic transfer tactics, either way its fantastic. I'd expect one of two outcomes, either we sign N'Zonzi and Huth in the next few days or we sign Kante and Huth in the next few days. I'm happy either way.
