gruss101 Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Betway still go 20s Cotterill, Hiddink odds on with Victor Chandler. Anybodys guess.
Rhysm Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Cotterill would be a disastrous choice. Can t think of a single box he would tick apart from cheap. Reminds me of that sinking feeling I had when john Gregory was nearly given the job post holloway I thought dyche and Lennon were bad but they look like world beaters next to this guy. Rant over
Steve Earle Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Would be thrilled with Klopp, thrilled enough to get over my misgivings about the Pearson sacking. Would be almost as happy with Hiddink. If we appoint a Cotterill or a Dyche I will know for certain that our club is led by numpties...
FoxCal Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 The problem for me with the likes of Cotterill isn't that he's never done it at this level or anything like that, it's just that no player of the calibre we should be trying to bring in looks at a club who are aiming for what we seem to be aiming for with somebody like that in charge and thinks 'You know what, that seems a good choice! Nothing but progress there!' I'm not saying that I'd want him in any capacity but to write him off would be unfair. For what the owners seem to want, for the amount of money we seem to be prepared to throw about, for the players we seem to be going in for, it only points towards a 'name' being appointed as opposed to somebody considered young and hungry. Sure, Pearson isn't somebody who's name is in lights or anything and he signed Cambiasso. Though I'm sure we can all agree that he had exceptional man-management skills, which we'd be extremely fortunate to find again anytime soon.
NewquayFox Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Rumours going around that we could be interested in Klinsmann as our manager.... Source...... Michel Da Hoss, foriegn journo...
ScouseFox Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 finally a name that doesn't make me want to cut my season ticket up into little pieces and insert those pieces down my japseye
benpicko Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Finally a name that doesn't make me want to shoot myself with a gun I unfortunately wouldn't have if it came to that
Asherz Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Rather have klopp or hiddink klinsman has fone **** all club management
ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Would love Klinsmann can't see it happening though as hes doing such a good gob with USA
benpicko Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Not going to actually bother looking up a source for this, just going to pretend it's more likely than Lennon or Hiddink and leave it at that
Alex_LCFC Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Loving life in America and doing well with there team. Can't see it happening
The Doctor Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 I'd love it but surely he wouldn't leave the US? Him or Lennon is a massively easy choice though, him every time.
RowlattsFox Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 I'm all for ambition but I hope we don't waste too much time trying to get managers who aren't going to come here before ending up with someone shit with two weeks to go till the season starts.
The_77 Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 No way that happens. We can close this thread now. He's very happy in his role with our national team, and is just about to start the Gold Cup on Tuesday. Even if he weren't, I don't think he'd ever leave California again.
Vlad the Fox Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Family are happy in the US not a chance But they could be even more happy over here with US.
dogadug Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Steve Cotterill gone from 20/1 to 5/2 on PP, the owners should not have sacked Nige full stop, let alone for Steve Cotterill !
pazzerfox Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 Steve Cotterill isn't a bad manager. Granted he has never worked in the Premier league, but I read an article on him before he got the Bristol city gig about him travelling all over Europe off his own back, watching match after match. He came back with a new outlook. He sounds very similar to Nigel. This is also a decent article. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3067618/Steve-Cotterill-Bristol-City-suit-Premier-League-club-shocked-Nottingham-Forest-sacked-team-bonding-X-Factor-Africa.html
Guest Lcfc82 Posted 4 July 2015 Posted 4 July 2015 He's not a bad manager but he's not an upgrade on NP. Which is what we need to justify sacking him

Which but of the article makes you think he would be suitable? Sounds more Martin Allen then Nigel Pearson with his talk of decorating the canteen.
