lgfualol Posted 12 July 2015 Share Posted 12 July 2015 Chilwell the only youngster involved from under 21 last year He's about the only one that might go far in the game. Good to see the club rate him so much, a loan to a championship team might be a good idea.

CosbehFox Posted 12 July 2015 Share Posted 12 July 2015 So pleased we are on a sensible plan in Austria as opposed to trekking to the states or the Far East. Doing the least miles of any other PL team in pre season. Even Bournemouth are swanning off to the U.S.

Ric Flair Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 Just a shame Chilwell has 3 left backs in his way. I'm surprised Choudhury hasn't been taken with them or McCourt seeing as we have only 2 central midfielders that are worth bothering with right now. With a demanding double session on the day's agenda in Bad Radkersburg, overcast conditions were a welcome sight for the squad on the morning bike ride to the training facility. A high-tempo, sharp session ensued as Craig Shakespeare, Steve Walsh, Mike Stowell and Kevin Phillips put the squad through their paces, ably assisted by the Club's sports science and medical staff. With different players at different stages of the pre-season cycle - some having only returned at the end of last week - work loads were carefully managed by the coaching staff and spirits were typically high among a group renowned for its closeness. Shinji Okazaki impressed in only his second full session with the squad following his summer move to the Club, while Kasper Schmeichel was back between the posts after joining up with the squad on Monday night. The high-intensity football session was finished off with some upper body strength circuits and a bike ride back to the hotel. "It was a bit of a blow this morning, but it's good to be back in the swing of things now and everyone's working hard," said striker David Nugent. image: http://www.lcfc.com/cms_images/day-2-4-3-lc7421-032280-2543820.jpg "It's the third year in a row that we've been out here now, so it's very familiar to everyone. It's a good setup, we all know what's needed this week and everyone's ready to work hard. "There's normally a fair bit of running in the first stages of pre season, but we're into the football already so we're looking forward to kicking on now, building fitness and getting into the friendly games." The intensive work continues for the squad this week before they return to the UK on Friday. The pre-season friendly programme then begins with a trip to Lincoln City on Tuesday 21 July. Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 July 2015 Share Posted 14 July 2015 Trying to identify the players but it's tricky with a couple of the U21s. I reckon it's: Schmeichel, Simpson, Fuchs, Wasilewski, King, Hammond, Phillips, Okazaki, Nugent, Lawrence (?) Schwarzer, De Laet, Chilwell, Huth, Drinkwater, Watson (?), Barmby (?), Schlupp, Vardy, Ulloa, Kramaric Missing someone. Oh, Mahrez? Doesn't seem to be playing. RowlattsFox Posted 14 July 2015 Share Posted 14 July 2015 Mahrez is there but doesn't seem to be playing. I don't think Paul Konchesky is there which is strange, not seen Albrighton but he's probably understandable got some time off. Standard Leo first touch at the start of that.
