les-tah Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 hes obviously sold himself some how, and id like to see what he brings. hes probaly name dropped a few players and said i can get him.
ImBlue Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 But it isn't really success is it when the only club who can spend more than you in a mediocre league (granted with a sprinkling of gems) finishes above you. If that's the way we are going "doing a Monaco" how long before the club can't last on the Thai owners billions. Try see past your own arsehole and have a discussion - pearson is gone. Negativity or being underwhelmed by this appointment does not mean that individual who holds that view wants Pearson back. Why not try to add to a discussion and suggest why Claudio Ranieri and the new approach is better rather than getting a headache from having to debate. Leicester were big spenders in the championship? And amongst money bookies favourites? Doesn't make the job Pearson did in getting us promoted less of an achievement?I will have that debate, once you start being balanced, rather than binning everything the man has done for the last 10 years.
MC Prussian Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Go back to original quote smart arse, I said club managerial position. Swoosh. Maybe it'd help if you were more specific in your replies - to be fair, your comment on this page did make you look like a tool. Can't be arsed to trawl back endless amounts of pages in a monster thread like this one all the time. Not after a long day of work. And you're on a mission tonight, I see. Woosh.

Buce Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Just realised, all you bastards calling him old, he's the same bloody age as me!! In the prime of his life, he'll never feel better than he does right now. Bet he can outrun most of the squad. Yeah, but I bet you have go-faster stripes on your walking frame, Steve...
JPM1983 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Pearson has gone. Milk spilt, no use crying. Ranieri is the new man in charge, could have done a lot worse, maybe could have done a bit better. A couple of good signings, a good start to the season, and most of us will be happy.

Backtracking after trying to be clever. Everybody is tool if you agree with Pearson being sacked. Used to that stance by now.
sylofox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 He will get my support as he is a city manager. I will not go overboard untill he has proven himself with us. I am not doubting him but as of now he has done nothing for us and that is all that matters not what he has done in the past.

goose2010 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Brilliant from Rio Ferdinand on Twitter @rioferby5: For Chelsea fans wondering who the new Leicester manager is, he is the guy who used to manage your club before you started supporting it.
EarlBeaumont Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Being French, I remember well his time in Monaco. He did a great job there ! Even if they had a lot of money (bought Falcao from Madrid and Rodriguez from Porto), he managed to get a promoted side to the second place of the league. Quite an offensive football, nice to watch. Very efficient (a rock solid defense). No one really understood why he has been sacked at the end of the season, but one could think it was due to a clash with the owners (no more money, betting on youth Porto like, so they needed another type of manager). If you have any question

If you have any question 1. What sort of formations was he using at Monaco? Particularly in his first season where Monaco probably weren't at their best. 2. Is he interested in youth players and helping them progress?
Babylon Posted 13 July 2015 Author Posted 13 July 2015 Brilliant from Rio Ferdinand on Twitter @rioferby5: For Chelsea fans wondering who the new Leicester manager is, he is the guy who used to manage your club before you started supporting it.been doing the rounds for hour, he stole it, like he stole a living at QPR last year.
Callabinho Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 He is getting hammered by the press. A lot of people criticising the club for his appointment. Unbelievably he is starting from the bottom already.
Vicki Vixen Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Brilliant from Rio Ferdinand on Twitter @rioferby5: For Chelsea fans wondering who the new Leicester manager is, he is the guy who used to manage your club before you started supporting it. Hey Tommy Hilfinger, that's not Rio's Twitter account. Top notch banter though.

Shouldn't be really we should be looking forward to a manager whose managed at all these clubs. Napoli - Fiorentina - Valencia - Atlético Madrid - Chelsea - Valencia - Parma - Juventus - Roma - Inter - Monaco This could be a big turning point in the direction the club goes, I wonder what players he will be able to attract.

stox259 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 The pressure the club have put the new manager and the team under for next season really is crazy. If, let's say we have a bad start then the lcfc fans will turn on the owners, manager and thus the team in an instant. I'm behind him but if we are 2-0 down against Sunderland I guarantee 'there's only one Nigel Pearson' will be a lot louder than 'Ranieri's blue army' will be. The need for a good early start is massive.
bovril Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Let's hope he does well then so he can ram the criticism down their throats. I think further trips to Thailand are off the table for now.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 He is getting hammered by the press. A lot of people criticising the club for his appointment. This club thrives under the siege mentality so let the press give us all the shit they can, at the end of the day most of them no **** all anyway
Mark_w Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 This could be a big turning point in the direction the club goes. The direction the club is currently going in is 'up'. So let's bloody hope not.
