Poznan34 Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Really don't understand WHU playing a weak side. Not like they are going to beat Arsenal away on Sunday?!
ScouseFox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 why did they even enter? isn't it optional to enter via the fairplay league and you can turn it down? pretty sure liverpool did that once. why enter to start in july then be out before the season even starts?

ScouseFox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Because they thought it would be a breeze. but surely once they realised it isn't going to be they'd try a little harder if they had any intention of actually wanting to be in the competition? what are they resting players for? another assault on 12th place? it's a million to one that they get into europe through the league (and what's the point if they don't want to be in it anyway ), and they'll surely back themselves to stay up comfortably enough. they are the definition of midtable. they've got a great chance to actually enjoy a season for once instead of plodding along to 13th or 14th place dreaming of a top half finish. and it's going to be over before the season even starts because they seemingly just can't be arsed. pathetic.
MC Prussian Posted 6 August 2015 Author Posted 6 August 2015 FC Zürich currently 1-0 up at Brest against Minsk and the other Swiss club Thun 1-2 behind against the Liechtenstein powerhouse Vaduz. Wonder how minnows WAC will fare away at Dortmund tonight. Fingers crossed for an upset.
Asha Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 FC Zürich currently 1-0 up at Brest against Minsk and the other Swiss club Thun 1-2 behind against the Liechtenstein powerhouse Vaduz. Whoaaaa those are HUGE results. I see that Rosenborg are beating Debrecen 2-1 as well which is massive.
Dan Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 West Ham have been nothing short of pathetic. I hope they get absolutely thumped.
AjcW Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Honestly can't imagine the owners being happy. They've been desperate for Europe in any form for a long time!
Corky Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 This is their best chance of Europe. They aren't going to finish in the top six, I doubt they'll win a domestic cup, to go out in the third qualifying round is pathetic.
MC Prussian Posted 6 August 2015 Author Posted 6 August 2015 Goodbye, West Ham! Serves you right for not giving a **** about the Europa League. Almost fielding a team full of youngsters.
Dan Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 How on earth can anyone blindly support English clubs in Europe when this is the attitude? Players rested for a game that they'll most likely be comfortably beaten in anyway even though they'd drawn 2-2 at home in the first leg it's too daft to laugh at. Should never have been there in the first place though.
Stuntman_Mike Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 If you were a West Ham fan you'd have to wondering, what is the point? Especially if you've travelled to those games. It's disgusting the way they've approached it. If we make Europe and went about it like they have I'd be fuming! I can't stand the attitude of taking cups lightly. Success is not existing in the PL.
Asha Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Didn't Hull sack this off recently too? It's amazing when you think about it. Let's bin this Europa League and concentrate on the Premier League where if we have a really good season we might even have a chance of qualifying for.... Oh. The sad fact is there's probably more to be gained financially now from finishing a couple of places higher in the league than there is from going on to fvcking win the Europa League. The club obviously doesn't give a shit about the fans missing out on enjoying a European tour. Finishing 11th every year is the new success.

Southampton have cooly and professionally negotiated their way to the next round with minimal fuss. And our teams in the Champions League will be wanting to do their best. West Ham doesn't equal all English Clubs

Saints will go furthest out of our teams.
adam Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Very bizare attitude West Ham had with this competition. Surely a decent run in europe is better than finishing no where in the prem. Wouldnt it have been better to play a full team tonight and rest the first team against Arsenal. Whoever they play against Arsenal are gonna lget beat. Hopefully if we ever get in europe we dont just chuck the oppourtunity away.
EnderbyFox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Absolutely pathetic from West Ham and their fans are rightly annoyed. Their last year at Upton Park, why not make it special with a strong run in Europe? Nope, they'd rather sack it off so they can work on finishing 13th instead of 15th. Embarrassing from Bilic. Fair play Southampton, 3-0 up and still starting a full strength team.

Our sides generally neglect it. No-one can seriously think that isn't the case.
katieakita Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Think they might come to regret dumping Big Sam.

Super_horns Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Southampton will do better than West Ham anyway.... Just added pressure for Bilic now as we know the Hammers fans are pretty inpatient.
Grandad. Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Don't think Hull sacked it off, Bruce is just shit. Saints will go furthest out of our teams. No they won't. Liverpool and Spurs will both take the Europa League seriously, Liverpool probably more so as our squad is bigger and stronger. Plus Brendan Rodgers really needs to take every competition serious this season, he needs to deliver a trophy this season and the Europa League is a major trophy with a massive reward if you win the competition.
shen Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 Odd Ballklub (yes... yes you read that right) are 3-0 up against Dortmund within 22 minutes!
