And ' yet to decipher the future of Gokhan Inler : if yesterday seemed made his move to Leicester , today rebounded from Switzerland rumors that would see the midfielder still prefer a landing at Schalke 04 , which up to 24 hours ago proposed about 4 million Euros for his services , an offer below that of the British. Situation , however , that would change today : according to reports from Sky laa German team would have raised bringing its proposal to more than 7 million euro bonus and returning on pole for the performance of the number 88 .

Milan fans reckoned Cambiasso had lost it... Amazing what a change of scenery did for him....

Re. Cambiasso and Inter fans. To be fair, I think it was only that one dude claiming to be a Swiss Inter fan who came on here – and some English-based fans on random Inter forums – who said Cambiasso was past it.

Most “proper” (Italian) Inter fans last summer thought he’d be fantastic for us. Not sure how many were desperately sad about Cambiasso, Zanetti and Milito leaving – as most understood the need to instill youth into Inter (and cut the club’s wage budget) – but the commitment and performance levels of the trio was never in doubt among fans.

COULDN'T GIVE A ****

He comes to us - solid player past his best

He doesn't - we miss out on a player who never had it in his heart to be here

He's going to those tight little b*stards in Schalke - I could accept Aranguiz to Leverkusen, but Schalke are an absolute nothing team with no real history so gutted about that.

Oh well, move on.

Nothing wrong with ambition but Ranieri needs to realise that he is in charge of LCFC, not Chelsea now, and needs to move for realistic signings that will come to a team of our status.. We need a CM and fast!!

These are without a doubt realistic signings. The fact these German clubs / other Turks etc have Champions League / Europa League football puts us at a disadvantage where our only real pulling power is money, and exposure.

This is exactly the position Inler's agent wants to be in. We'll just now offer another million a season and job done. Annoying but we'll get him. Schalke are willy pullers.

We really don't. People need to stop obsessing about a CM. We have Drinky, King, Kante, Hammond who are more than adequate. Also this benolaule fella can also play the DM role and Mahrez / Kramaric / Okazaki can play AMC role.

It's a 'derogatory' 'offensive' term yes, but not racist.

For those who speak German, here's a rather unflattering take on us re. the Aranguiz and Inler deals. Hints that LCFC is a regional non-entity punching above its weight on the transfer market and which, I quote, has become "an irritant which doesn't know where to spend its TV money".

Arseholes. We clearly have talented players, staying up in a very tough PL despite a horrendous run of form mid-season. How are we to improve unless we try to buy better players? Do they want us to back down because their team wants to buy them? If you really want the player, you have to up your bid. That's how business works, stupid irritants.

Are we actually in for this guy,the reason I say this, is that Aranguiz has come out and said Bayern Leverkusen were the only team to show an interest in him.

Whatever happened to approaching clubs and asking for permission to speak to a certain player, it looks like to me, we just put a bid in and that's it.

We don't have much history neither tbf lol

At least we're not a factory team like Plastic Leverkusen.

EDIT: They've been in the Bundesliga for 35 years straight by now, so they can go Bayer themselves.
