norwichfox Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 With the loyalty gone out of supporting your local club is it not important to get the fans in young and hope to build loyalty this way? Not 100% my view, just throwing it out there Does that really matter with the Sky Revenue? we could play behind closed doors and make a profit...what an awful thought....note to self.... I must stop drinking supermarket brands and get some Stella in
JonnyBoy Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 Is it really that hard for the club to keep it simple and effective by just having the Leicester City badge on a giant flag? F#%< commercialism
GaelicFox Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 FFP meant the amount of money your owner had mattered much less - the manager, his staff and the players are what really matters. I didn't intend to bring Pearson up in this discussion but if Micky's going to credit our PL status to the owners I feel I have to explain to him who he really ought to be thanking. FFP ...ha ha ha back in league one FFP mattered a feck They took a huge gamble they were facing a huge FFP fine at one stage The took on FFP and WON ....faced it down rolled the dice and won The can Stick king power on my hairy arse , I couldn't give a toss As long as the club continues to grow and succeed
Izzy Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 I can't believe a flag can't create so much hysteria, debate, argument, passion, resentment and disagreement. It's just a flag FFS. It won't influence the result or how we play so personally I don't give a sh1t
Wymsey Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 It'll be in the bin anyway afterwards, like the clappers.
ozleicester Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Who the fvck introduced Filbert?.............. cringe
foxinsox Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Yeah its a bit naff; but the main problem is its a bit to fussy with the detail. A simple Badge flag would be better. I love the Thais and what they have done with our club, and they have learnt a lot since the days of Sven. We really do look like a top half prem club for the first time in nearly twenty years. When you look at some of the bonkers owners around we are very fortunate indeed! The King Power shops have paid for all this, I have no problem with advertising them a bit.
davieG Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 #FEARLESS Grabbing everyone's attention on #Foxestalk
promised land Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 not the best flag ive ever seen....bring back inflatable hammers and bananas..them were the days Yeah and fans pissing at the back of the terrace and being squashed in front of a barrier.
LCFC FOX Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Does anyone else get more annoyed reading posts about moaning at people moaning? They're allowed an opinion and if people think the flag is crap and cringey then that's there opinion. All this like cut the owners some slack, stop crying, people would always find something to moan about even if we signed Messi. YAWN
Vlad the Fox Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Why are you embarrassed? Don't understand myself. Personally in an ideal world I would like No drum, everyone to stand and sing/chant the old songs/chants at the correct pace. However, if the: Drum clappers Poznan TIFO UnionFS fans flags generic chants club flags and whatever else you want to add, Well if they raise the atmosphere a bit, I'm all for them. If other teams fans think we're tinpot then **** 'em, the players have already made it clear that they love the atmosphere that has been created. Why should you be bothered let alone embarrassed. So the Neanderthals of Leeds/ Millwall/ Sheffield Weds might think we're tinpot, so what ? I'm sure some of you will see the list above and pick out certain things you agree with and certain things you don't want. The thing is everyone has different opinions and you'll never satisfy everyone. Stop moaning, you're all spoiling my optimistic, happy mood. Come on City beat the Spurs Scum (I hate Spurs) and folks you do what you choose to do tomorrow to raise the atmosphere. Reading that list has made me realise how the atmosphere police have been dragged kicking and screaming into improving things. It seems to me that a lot of people on here have an idealised view of what 'old football' was like and want to recreate that yet they, like anything else that goes retro, miss the point, you can't recreate the attitude, the mood of the day, or society as it was that all went into making it what it was. Trying to recreate will fail as too much as changed in football, in our lives and in the world, we're in a new age of football. I also get the impression that if things were the same now as in the 80's then a lot of people moaning about this flag would be supporting someone else or not interested in football. Get on board with the flag, pass it over your head, then instead of whinging and bitching on here, Facebook, and Twitter while Google harvest your info and target you specifically contact the club with a positive email on how you thought it was a great idea, you liked it but would prefer a different design/approach ect. Maybe without the childish outrage people could inform and change future displays as the club seem more willing to listen now than ever before.
simpmeister Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 It's a flag..who cares? People just love to moan about anything. Just get behind the lads that's the most important thing!
crisp packet Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Wow just wow. A Friday night and peeps are arguing over a flag " some people live a whole life without living" FFS! C.O.Y.B
Voll Blau Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Did someone genuinely try to argue Cambiasso wouldn't have signed for us if it weren't for tacky shit like this? See you at 2.59 folks.

Captain... Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 I do find it funny that people criticise the owners for this, they didn't sit down and design the thing, they probably didn't even sign it off, they have most likely allocated a budget to generating an atmosphere and employed someone to manage it. They may have stipulated that the king power logo should be visible on everything as they are paying for it, but they didn't design the flag and place the king power logo where it is, they didn't come up with #fearless they would have employed someone to look after the social media side of things, which has improved massively with the ask Claudio Twitter q&a the official website gives updates much quicker than before and there are a lot more official videos and pictures released via more streams. Credit where it is due, the club as a whole are getting more things right than wrong at the moment so cut them some slack over a naff # and poorly designed flag. By that I mean let them know they missed the mark with this one, but do it with a smile make suggestions for improvements and don't turn it in to a crusade.
EnglishOxide Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Stop making things up. Not one person has criticised the owners.
HighPeakFox Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 The flag has issued a 'come and get me' plea to the owners
Frank to be Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 As I have pointed out in the post you responded to. FFP meant that the amount of money a club's owner has matters much less as there were limits on the amount that could be spent. I could throw your own comment back at you at this point but I won't. FFP meant that we could only lose so many million pounds. We did lose many millions of pounds. Who swallowed that debt? Was it Nigel?

Some folks need to take heed of this advice.
The Railway Man Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Sorry to inform you guys but your job as a supporter now is actually to promote King Power, that is the reason they are here. They want you sat there in your 50 quid shirt with the King Power logo on the front and they want you waving huge flags with King Power on it. It's what we signed up for when we went into this.

Yup advertising on shirts has only been introduced this year.
Harry - LCFC Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 FFP meant that we could only lose so many million pounds. We did lose many millions of pounds. Who swallowed that debt? Was it Nigel? Most owners are in a position to lose that amount as evidenced by the almost universal trend of clubs losing money. As such it makes little sense to single out our owners for special credit.
