promised land Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 The flag ended up sideways by the time it made it across the kop. Think we need some practice Just like the Sky one at the Doncaster game, going around corners is the difficult bid, they should do it along one stand only.
Weller in Tights Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 I noticed #fearless on the turnstiles, concourses, either side of the club shop, on top of the tunnel and on the flags waved before the match and when we scored. Sad thing is they've clearly spent a decent amount of money on something that most fans find embarrassing. Where does this 'MOST FANS FIND EMBARRASSING' come from?A few 10-20 Foxestalk stalwarts are embarrassed by this. Jesus you lot are easily offended. A few 10-20 on here think the club are just trying to do their bit God luv'em in their awkward corporate way. And 99.9% of fans , don't really give a shit. Now if you want a conversation about something football related, let's talk Schiemichael's distribution. Some think he's god that should never be criticised, others think he's from the Steve Walsh school of the long pass (Steve Walsh is still a god in my eyes but his long range passing was atrocious). Note : I did not use the term 'most', as I think no one on here knows the views of all Leicester fans. I used the term 'some' as the views I have gleaned are from the City fans I actually know and discuss football with.

I've followed this club through shit and a ****ing flag isn't going to bother me one way or the other whether I like it or not. ****ing kids of today are a whining pathetic disgrace.

Weller in Tights Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Ok, maybe not most, that was an exaggeration, just like your 99.9% statistic.Sorry, no offence intended, but I think you'll find my statistic (99.9% couldn't really give a shit about what's on the flag) is more accurate than you saying 'most' were embarrassed by the #FEARLESS thing. My main point though is so what, what a thing to get embarrassed about, what a thing to have a discussion about. My Schiemichael suggestion? Now there's a discussion to get people's polar differences flaring up.
promised land Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Knock yourself out moaners, it's on the TV now.
Harry - LCFC Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Knock yourself out moaners, it's on the TV now. And the authentic, fan-organised, fan-funded tifo at Sunderland wasn't #FvckTheBeeb
Dan Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Does anyone else get more annoyed reading posts about moaning at people moaning? They're allowed an opinion and if people think the flag is crap and cringey then that's there opinion. All this like cut the owners some slack, stop crying, people would always find something to moan about even if we signed Messi. YAWN Quite. Kiss arse of everything the club does or shut up. Dare to have a negative opinion on something and be shot down. Really weird. It was a crap flag. Hilarious that MOTD managed to catch that but completely missed the tifo v Sunderland. Ridiculous.
Viva Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 You can say its shit without being ungrateful for what the club has previously participated you know. #fearless I can just about understand but the ****ing King Power logo!? They blatantly just want to get that photographed and we will be a laughing stock. 'Look at all these people lads, advertising a duty free company!' You really are quite sad with your vendetta against the owners. King Power happens to be the name of their company so naturally that's the name you will see around everywhere! Not hard to understand.
BoyJones Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 I don't care one way or the other re the flag, although thought it looked better sideways on! We are top of the table, seven points from nine - that is the real story. That's what I care about.

They're allowed an opinion and if people think the flag is crap and cringey then that's there opinion. All this like cut the owners some slack, stop crying, people would always find something to moan about even if we signed Messi. YAWN By your own logic then, people have a right to moan about the moaners, it's 'their opinion'. Interestingly in the Observer today, our 'atmosphere' is mentioned yet again. Most of the media and a growing number of opposition fans are saying the atmosphere at City is special. Now I'm sure many will debate what the root cause of our improved atmosphere is, I personally think it's a mix of many things (the efforts of UnionFS, the clappers, the family stand improving their contributions to the L block chants and everything/anything else you wish to add). The thing is let's keep it up, Ranieri and the players have said how it helps the team, this is our contribution, let's keep it up. Observer quote: "As if fuelled by an elixir Leicester went for the kill, the King Power Stadium now heaving with now-familiar fanatical support".
Wymsey Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Don't necessirily disagree with the flag thing. It's a sign of identification, but agree that it's probably used more to promote King Power than the club itself. I can imagine other ideas being pursued, such as a plane flying over the stadium with this sort of message on a banner just before a game.
iancognito Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 As much as I think the KP logo shouldn't have been on it, it got a 3 second moment in the whole coverage and I don't see anything on forums or twitter etc where everyone's laughing at it. And even if they are, who cares? What's next on the moaners list? The electronic ad boards that display foreign languages? One of the kids who was holding the pitchside flags was a t least a foot taller than the rest. We're top of the f******g Premier League 5 years after being in the 3rd tier and all some people can do is bloody moan.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Just hoping the club don't put up #Fearless on some of those blank blue panels around the stadium. They need to stay how they are because the outside of the ground looks good at the moment.
LcfcBaker Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Let's not pretend that using a hashtag in real life is anything short of fvcking embarrassing. I'm behind clappers, the free t-shirts were a nice touch, but this is just too far. I've never known any Leicester fan use '#Fearless', most people I follow are the ones they'd be targeting (the 16-25 audience) and none of them even really use hashtags, only when they have a unique emoticon at the end. This is total embarrassing and I'm not even sure who they're targeting? They've got almost 500,000 likes on Facebook and 200,000 followers on Twitter. It's not like we need some massive social media push is it? It's about time they drop the Marketing Team iniative bs and take on the much easier task on rejuvenating the old traditional slogans, When You're Smiling, Foxes Never Quit, both good slogans with history in the club but for some reason are sidelined for new-era manufactured shite #Fearless. Please just stop. totally agree with the fearless thing. Cringeworthy. Foxes never quit is just as bad. Shocking.

Captain... Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Just a thought, why did they do it this game and not first game of the season. It would have made more sense to do it then, but it would have spoiled the tifo. I wonder if they held it back a game to accommodate ufs?
justfoxes Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Don't know why people continue to moan at the littlest things FFS #FEARLESS is a great marketing format our owners are saying that our team do not fear anyone !! FairPlay to the idea it shows we are a team together a team that will go out fearless and take on anyone which only goes to show our position after 3 games top of or 2nd in the league FFBS get a life and stop the boring whinging about something that is a positive about the club some of you lot are never happy unless you moan about this or that cheer the fook up and stop bitching all the time I'm sure some of the Whinging whining idiots would find something to moan about theoretically if we were crowned champions and had won the champions league they would still bitch about something !
C-man Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 But it's not a great marketing format. It's a pointless word that has no relevance to our football team.
BigMicky Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 But it's not a great marketing format. It's a pointless word that has no relevance to our football team. It has to start somewhere for it to become relevant....
foxychik Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 I think it's amusing some folks are saying foxes never quit is a better tag line - I seem to remember it feeling just as cringey at the time - it felt like we were being made to use the nickname 'the foxes' it never came from the supporters the club and the media imposed it on us. I personally don't mind the hashtag stuff it's not offensive it's just new.... the owners are trying to give us a unique identity, and if that makes the crowd louder and help us win so be it - I really don't give a sh*t if other teams don't like it - part of the reason why we stayed up last season was the crowd didn't give up on the team, and part of the reason we didn't was to do with some crappy bits of card. At this level of sport it's the marginal gains that make the difference. The owners are clued up - happy fans, loud fans, and a full stadium make the difference- the better the team perform the better it is for the promotion of their business, I'm glad our owners think this way and don't just see us as a billionaires play thing.
