Just watching the Tunisia game where Benalouane has come on...did anyone else notice that on his shirt and on the team sheet his name is written as Ben Alouane (two words?) never noticed this before is this how it’s supposed to be?

Ben means ‘son of’ in Arabic and Hebrew.  So it was two words originally but it may have become one over a generation in France.

Nice one! As soon as I posted I noticed they have a lot of other players with Ben at the start of their surname so makes sense now!

actually its 'bin' that means son of in Arabic .... which is quite apt really cause that's where Benny might end up after today...... oh dear

Benny is just not Prem class, still remember just how bad he looked against Kane but he does seem to be a nice bloke, just a shame he was not in their defence when England played Tunisia because even Sterling might have scored, maybe?:giggle:
