Some of the players and fee's on that list make me wanna throw up.

Balotelli, Borini and Lovren cost them £45M+

Does this Tiago Ilori even play football? 7 million pounds worth apparently.

Coutinho was an absolute bargain at £8.5million, mind. Sturridge, I didn't think was worth the money at the time, but he's proved a good signing for Liverpool. Milner for free was always going to be a good signing too.

I'm struggling after that. Lovren at £20million lol

He lost Suarez, granted, which would be such a massive loss for any side but he wasn't replaced well. Always said he should have just gone for Sanchez - or at least tried to include him in the deal - then you're getting World Class for World Class.

Pretty sure they went all out for Sanchez, agreed a fee, threw a huge contract under his nose etc but he had absolutely no intention of joining them and only wanted to go to Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp has agreed a three-year deal to become Liverpool manager.

The 48-year-old German replaces Brendan Rodgers, who was sackedon Sunday after three and a half years in charge with the club 10th in the Premier League.

Klopp has been out of work since May, when he ended a seven-year spell at Borussia Dortmund to take a sabbatical.

He is expected to have Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz - his former assistants at the Bundesliga club - as part of his coaching staff at Anfield.

Sean O'Driscoll, who was Rodgers's assistant, has left the club while Gary McAllister has been removed as first-team coach, although he is considering the offer of another role with the Reds.

No contract has yet been signed but that is viewed as a formality when Klopp arrives in Liverpool later on Thursday. He will be officially unveiled by Liverpool on Friday morning.

Klopp facts

Born: 16 June 1967, Stuttgart

Playing career: Mainz (1989-2001)

Managerial career: Mainz (2001-08), Borussia Dortmund (2008-15), Liverpool (2015- )

Honours: (with Dortmund) Bundesliga 2010-11, 2011-12, DFB-Pokal 2011-12, DFL-Supercup 2008, 2013, 2014

Individual honours: (with Dortmund) German manager of the year 2011, 2012

After seven years as Mainz boss, Klopp joined Dortmund in 2008 and led them to two Bundesliga titles.

They lost to Wolfsburg in last season's German Cup final - his final game - at the end of a campaign in which they struggled domestically, finishing seventh in the league.

Klopp will take over a Liverpool side who have won only four of their 11 games in all competitions this season.

The international break means his first game in charge is a Premier League match at Tottenham on 17 October.

Klopp will have work within the existing structure and what has become known asAnfield's 'transfer committee'.

It is the group that plots and carries out transfer strategy and up until Sunday night consisted of Rodgers, scouts Dave Fallows and Barry Hunter, the man in charge of analysis Michael Edwards, FSG's Anfield representative Mike Gordon and chief executive Ian Ayre.

Rodgers, who took over in June 2012, led the Reds to second place in the Premier League in 2013-14.

No surprises really.

Think most have known that the club had a replacement lined-up, as his future has been in doubt since the start of the year.

Don't think that can get a better manager, and am interested to see how he does.

Klopp should be like a breath of fresh air to the Premiership.

Really looking forward to seeing and hearing him.

Could be interesting to see how his laid back and far more jovial personality deals with Mourinho

Klopp is like 6'4 so he'd just kill him with one punch

They still don't finnish in the top 4 for me. No doubt they'll improve a great deal in the summer but I just can't see it not this year.

Whilst there are similarities to when he took over dortmund it's also very different for a couple of reasons. But then again having lived in a dortmund dominated area, I'm probably biased against him.

I'm already tired of seeing that "Smiley-Smirky face" everythime I go to BBC sport.

Maybe we won't see the teeth so much after he takes over the team.

I watched the press conference, no pre-meditated quotes, buzzwords or Mourinho-style mindgames... He came across as humble and humorous. A breath of fresh air.

Klopp is a great guy, he'll no doubt round them all up for sunday lunch down the local Toby Carvery or something unusual.

Watched his Dortmund side at their peak against Wolfsburg. They played in such a way comparable to the best sides I've witnessed. Shame the stars ended up at Bayern.
