KFS Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Also, inb4 Dickov22's "I don't want that thug playing for my club" comment...
FoxinNotts Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 If you have title aspirations, or even ambition to finish in the top four (which we should now have, as there is no better opportunity, than the present), we should strengthen the squad where we are weakest. Goal keeper: we need a quality (preferably international capped) back up for Kasper. If KS was to get injured, we'd be fooked Defence: Upgrade one of our two right backs. Upgrade the brilliant but Ageing Wasil with someone to truly challenge Huth/Morgan Number 10/atk mid: a world class gem required. And, recall Lawrence to back him up from the bench.
MC Prussian Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Naismith? Steady. Good shout that. High workrates, PL experience, dependable, assured on the ball, hat-trick against Chelsea lately, Scotland international, can play as a 10, on the left-wing and up front. What's not to love about him? He has also made it public yesterday that he's considering leaving Everton soon if he's not getting any more matchday action.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 I don't agree that we don't rate Inler. I think it's more a case of you can't change the formation or the two centre mid powerhouses in the current run of form. If we have a run of 2 or 3 defeats I think CR will be itching to give GI a run. I don't rate Inler. Or should I say, I don't think he's suited to the pace of the Prem OR to how we play. He'd look ok at Inter or somewhere. With a slower build up.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Naismith is a great shout. He ain't a great player but I love his work rate. He'd fit. This 'fitting' with how we play is crucial. Inler don't fit. Naismith would.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Get cattermole in Good post. Buddy

Inler don't fit. Naismith would. You do realize they play in entirely different positions altogether? Inler may not be "fitting in" right now, but there's nothing to suggest he won't "fit in" at a later stage, with potential fixture congestions. Heck, not even Andy "Legend" King can get regular game time right now!
vicfarm7 Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 On here i see alot of people claiming we need someone who can play at no10 and contribute goal. Martinez said naismith may be able to leave in jan. He has an eye for goal and fit in the hard working team ethic we have. Would personally love him on loan
Buzzell Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Would be a good signing for us. Geeeeerrrriiiimminnnn!
lgfualol Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 I'd take him on loan. I'd rather we go for someone younger though.

m4DD0gg Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Perhaps a swap for De Jong for a loan of either kram or inler?
les-tah Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Inler has not turned bad overnight. He is just taking longer to suit to the style he will have a place this season im sure of it.
Lestoh Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Far as I'm concerned, they can have Kram AND Inler, De Jong would be a crazy buy.
Gerard Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 De Jong seems a strange one. Surely he'll only be swapping Milan's bench for Leicester's? We may have a high quality left forward lined up and we could play 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 with three CM's and the two wider players given more attacking and less defensive duties which would certainly suit Mahrez.

Podolski?
MC Prussian Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Sorry don't know if this has already be posted but we've been linked with De Jong in Italy. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/09/report-leicester-city-monitoring-nigel-de-jong-planning-january/? Imagine a mid field three of DD NG and De Jong. Dont think the oppo would get near the 18 yard box! Why would we want to chase after another proven CDM with international experience when we've already got one rotting on the bench - so that both of them can exchange anecdotes of times past?
