brookfox Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Link to the Gray story - anyone know how he's been this season? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-bournemouth-transfer-target-demarai-6976825 The big difference between us and Bournemouth now (other than a few more obvious things!) is that we can sign him and loan him back while they'll need him for a relegation battle. Then at the end of the season he can compete with Lawrence and Dodoo to replace Dyer in the squad. Great times to be a city fan!!

Gerard Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I only watch Leicester because of Mahrez, but I've seen quite a lot of your matches over the last couple of seasons. I'm interested to know what people think about Kramaric. He's mentioned a bit on this forum as someone who potentially should be sold. Whenever I saw him last season, he always seemed to impress me. Just had the feeling that he'd be the perfect number 10 behind a striker like Vardy and so I'm a bit surprised we haven't seen him play that role for Leicester this season. He came with a great reputation. Only Ronaldo had scored more goals in Europe that season, got a hat-trick against Feyernood in the Europa League and was reportedly wanted by Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan. He's basically flopped in England as he wants too much time on the ball and isn't strong or quick enough to succeed. He has a lot of talent but his physical attributes let him down and he hasn't adapted here. It's quite telling that he can't even get on the bench at Leicester and is undoubtedly our 4th choice striker, time for him to move on methinks.
Gerard Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Sorry if this has already been posted. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/leicester-city/foxes-scout-watches-20m-rated-embolo-1990415.html#.VmgTk0ZFDqC It's two months old and has been posted lots of time. What a statement that would be though if we were to sign a player with a genuine chance of being a future world class player.
Bamba's Babes Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I'd very much like us to take a punt on Gray.
Clever Fox Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I like the idea of signing good hungry young players. we just need to be careful that they have the right attitude.
Nick Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Embolo or Ighalo would be brilliant business and likely help ensure our post Christmas push should Vardy inevitably pick up some knocks or burn out a bit.
filbertstreet Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I like the idea of signing good hungry young players. we just need to be careful that they have the right attitude. Are there any good young Ethiopian footballers?
richardsfoxes Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I like the idea of buying Gray and then loaning him back till the summer, from what's been wrote about him he seems to have a lot of potential.
WRS11 Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Sorry don't know if this has already be posted but we've been linked with De Jong in Italy. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/09/report-leicester-city-monitoring-nigel-de-jong-planning-january/? Imagine a mid field three of DD NG and De Jong. Dont think the oppo would get near the 18 yard box!
filbertstreet Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Sorry don't know if this has already be posted but we've been linked with De Jong in Italy. I dunno, I hear his brother Kim is pretty good, highest rated footballer in Korea

Ric Flair Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 He plays for AC Milan who are supposedly after Kramaric so i wonder if there is something in it.... WE want Honda or NO DEAL

I noticed his name being mentioned on here a few times but didn't realise the article was two months old. Would be a fantastic signing. Hope our interest is true.
filbertstreet Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Ox. Go large. don't know where you'd play a cow thing, in goal maybe I guess but it'd need to not wander off
Vindaloo FOX Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Sorry don't know if this has already be posted but we've been linked with De Jong in Italy. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/09/report-leicester-city-monitoring-nigel-de-jong-planning-january/? Imagine a mid field three of DD NG and De Jong. Dont think the oppo would get near the 18 yard box! good player but can only see him coming if we sell Inler also do we want us to play 3 midfielders ?
VLC86 Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 De Jong was easily ACs stand out player when I watched them last season and the fans loved him. He's quicker and more mobile than what I have seen of Inler so far, sounds to me like we are planning for him to be off in Jan.
WRS11 Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 good player but can only see him coming if we sell Inler also do we want us to play 3 midfielders ? Not really because we have looked solid with 2 and the work rate of the rest of the team. Think he may be a good alternative to Inler if he leaves in Jan for game time elsewhere. De Jong knows the league and has a winning mentality from his time at city also from what i've seen of him live looks to be a leader on the pitch, something which would add to Huth, Fuchs, Morgan et al.
Bayfox Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 If Milan want inler on loan and he wants football before the euros. A short term swap could be viable. De Jong has played in the premier league before so wouldn't need time to settle and he would be an experienced back up to Kante. Breaking things up and giving the ball to others. Wouldn't be adverse to it
Nick Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 If we are in for De Jong its cover and competition for Drinks and Kante as the matches build. We obviously don't rate Inler or perhaps James at the moment and we need greater depth in DM quality. Would be a shrewd acquisition methinks.
Nick Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 We have cover on the wings arguably though would be interested in exploring the Gray deal but I still think we may go in for a striker that would be 2nd choice after Vardy and provide depth in quality should Vardy pick up an injury. Can't stop thinking Ighalo would bring something to LCFC.....

I think it's more a case of you can't change the formation or the two centre mid powerhouses in the current run of form. If we have a run of 2 or 3 defeats I think CR will be itching to give GI a run.
