Deucalion Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 That song for Ben Marshall was the best thing I had heard sung for years, needs to be resurrected.
LCFC FOX Posted 24 October 2015 Author Posted 24 October 2015 I don't care what other fans think... I don't care if we use clappers... I never said our support was crap. All I said is can we stop singing WLY as it's an awful song.
Benguin Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Anyone going to tell me what WLF stands for? We love you, we love you, we love you And where you play we follow, we follow, we follow Because we support the Palace, the palace, the palace And that's the way we like it, we like it, we like it. Woahh woahh woahhhhhhh, woah, woah, woahhh
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 That song for Ben Marshall was the best thing I had heard sung for years, needs to be resurrected. ALBRIGHTON

All I said is can we stop singing WLY as it's an awful song. Bullshit. 'Especially against these who will put us to shame if we attempt it' That's in your original post. Like I said we barely sing it at all now anyway but if we did it's laughable to say we'd be put to shame by Palace fans. They're nobodies and we're at home. Whatever you sing just sing it louder than them. ALBRIGHTON HE CAME FROM VILLAAAA
yorkie1999 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Well i'm gonna outclap them with me clapper.
ozleicester Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Outsing the away fans, you wont hear what they think about what we sing
sphericalfox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 My wife used to love a bit of WLY, but then we had kids...

sulfoxide Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 As I get older, it bugs me more and more that songs have swearwords in them. I just think it would be so much more classy if we expressed ourselves without it. Or maybe allow ourselves the occasional expletive just to really emphasise a point maybe. I don't expect anyone to listen however. If people like doing it, then they will continue to do it. And long live personal choice and people enjoying themselves at the football. Same for some of the posts on here, embarrassing.

I love the singing - it's rousing and helps make the occasion memorable. But it's witty, supportive singing I like and particularly remember us going 3-0 down in a few minutes at Sheffield United. Some of the singing then was so impromptu, so inspired, it even earned respect from the opposition.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 For the millionth time, it'll stop when people don't want to do it anymore. Let people sing what they want if it makes a noise. Who gives a **** what other fans think? Any song or action that self conscious hipsters want us to stop doing because some other tin pot group of fans might laugh at it is probably one that's doing well. Stop being so insecure. Really, why does anyone care what Crystal Palace fans think? They're literally a bunch of teenage cheerleaders who got a bit too obsessed with St Pauli and didn't grow out of it. They take the piss out of a song you're singing just smile and sing it louder. True, but it would be nice to have a song that was truly our own. Maybe we should all sing the Posthorn Gallop? Baaaaaaadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabuuuuuuuuup! Badabadabadabadabadabadabadababadabdabadaaaaaaaaaaah! And so on.
