Nugent was class for us one of only a handful that survived the SGE era.

He was Deffo one of the best players in a bad bunch.

There are loads of factors as to why Vardy has turned into the player he us today and Nugent has played his part in his development I have no doubt.

I'm only gonna look back at Nugent's time with LCFC with fondness.  The Liverpool game as someone mentioned, the squirrel, always scoring against Ipswich, always with a smile on his face.  I wish him well at Middlesbrough and hope he makes it back to the PL next season.

Nugent was a good player for us, but I think the Championship was his level. Premier League was too much of a step up for him.

We could definitely have improved on him, and indeed have, certainly he didn't offer enough to be part of a side looking to progress to midtable, but this team has changed more than that. You might as well be saying cambiasso held us back because he was one of the departures in this change.

I said to reach the next level and move on from relegation scraps we'd have to replace people like Koncheksy, Hammond and Nugent. They just weren't good enough for this level and so it's proved. In place of them now we have Fuchs, Kante and Okazaki....
