Ozwin Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Only a matter of time before clubs come sniffing for Kante. He's like Makalele on speed. Would to see some comparitive stats between the two.
Elsie Ephsey Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 ok guys,be honest. is there anyone of you out there thinking: "We are actually gonna win the league!" ? With £20 on at 5000/1 there's rarely a minute of my waking day when the thought doesn't cross my mind. Whether we do or not, I'm having the time of my life.

Hope we have him on a long deal , the guy is class and will improve With £20 on at 5000/1 there's rarely a minute of my waking day when the thought doesn't cross my mind. Bob Weasel Fox Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Superb result 3-0 away at Swansea who themselves have been exceptional the last couple of seasons is no mean feat
Dan Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Those MOTD highlights we are genuinely one of the best teams in this league. How has this happened? It's all getting a bit out of hand now.

I keep checking my shower to see if Bobby Ewing is in there ! I'm sure it's a Dallas like "dreaming" lost time moment !
sdb Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Not that I want to party poop but life as a Leicester fan may never be this good again. I literally feel like i'm walking on cloud 9 at the moment. Just so happy.
deep blue Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 This team is so, so good. It's an absolute miracle that a club like us can have a team so well drilled, so positive and so effective. Do not under-estimate how well organised we are. Post Arsenal we've been a completely different kettle of fish. You have to go back to the Norwich game to find a goal we conceded that wasn't from a set piece or penalty. I genuinely believe we're well in the top four race, or even better, we've actually improved on our strong start rather than dropped off, that's the key factor. Forza Don Claudio. Together with the good organisation, I also noticed how aware our players were of everything around them, where both opposition players and our own were. I felt there has been a noticeable improvement there.

I literally feel like i'm walking on cloud 9 at the moment. Just so happy. I'm going to ignore that first sentence. But yeah, so happy right now. If we continue on like this for a few weeks my mates are gonna get really tired of me, can't help but be a smug bastard!
Dan Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 In my opinion we need to wait until after the Liverpool game on the 26th to answer this. But everything else is spot on. We look so confident at the back which is a minor miracle considering how we looked in the first few weeks. I do agree with you, but I think we're good enough to get a number of points that gives us encouragement that it can be done. I will be amazed if we aren't in the top four when NYD comes. I think we're too good to lose all of them. I think our next loss will come soon (I've got a horrible feeling about the Chelsea game) but we've just got too many things going in our favour for us to tail off. The mentality of the club has been absolutely exemplary. We've become a team that I'd like if I had absolutely nothing to do with Leicester. It just seems too good to be true. Confident, positive, intelligent. We don't buy bullshit. We don't give a shit about pointless stuff like possession stats. What a side. What a bloody side.
st albans fox Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Anyone notice fuch's 'team talk' during the first goal celebration ? we have several leaders out there. JV really wanted to score yesterday. He looked a bit miffed at some of the passes (the ones that didn't come and those which came badly) yesterday. The point is he had to guilt edged opportunities and missed them - that's why the record is there mate! Hopefully he can be more relaxed now and play with even more freedom.
Babylon Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 This midfield is so much better than last season's midfield. I think it's just time people accepted it. We are top of the Premiership by two clear points after yet another display where the midfield pairing ran the bloody show. Kante is proving to be one of City's most important signings in decades. And Drinkwater should be in the England squad, make no bones about it. I'm so so proud of this side and pleased that we finally have a midfield to combat any in this division. Yawn!!!!
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Thinking back to yesterday we really do look like a quality premier league team. The through balls on several occasions from Drinkwater and Kantè were class, and as MOTD were showing on the analysis, what a buy Kante has been. Good balls forward, runs forward himself, willing to defend. He has great energy. Drinkwater again looked like he had a very good performance. Mahrez with the hattrick is great for him too. The defence will be morale boosted further after keeping a clean sheet, as well as the impressive win.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 I'm often critical even in victory but that was just superb entertainment from our team. Some of the football was breathtaking and the bodies we got forward - even in the second half when we'd might just have protected our lead in the past - was so positive. Three more goals - going on eight, three more points to move to 32 and one defeat all season. That's impressive by any standards.I know Thracian and although I occasionally quip about lengthy posts making my eyes bleed I seriously enjoy your measured thoughts.Despite my user name and persona, which I play up too, after 40+ years of following City, since being a starry eyed 6 year old, believe me I am firmly a realist! Over the years we have witnessed some terrible dross interspersed with some exciting and memorable times. Although young, loved Broomfield era that I remember and obviously the O'Neil years were great And memorable. After great thought I can honestly say that our style of football this season is the best I've seen as a Leicester fan!
Thracian Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Collymore on TalkShite just now pretty much just saying that we're a 2 man team in Vardy and Mahrez. I get the feeling people think we'll lose them in Jan or their form will dip or get injured etc. But like you say, what if they don't? Nothing could be so wrong. We're anything but a two-man team. We're looking more and more like a complete team. What does Collymore do....watch the goals and ignore the build-up. We're not picking up crumbs out there, some of our moves are so clever they're starting in the dressing room. Kante was like the Orient Express he was gathering steam so far out and we had Kasper and Fuchs helping construct a goal against United. week before. So, have Drinky and DeKanter suddenly become makeweights and Huth or Morgan like wallowing whales on a salmon run? Two-man team? I love it when we pinch possession - we're like a the blossoming of a flower in fast-forward mode - there are petals spreading in all directions and the ball's like a bee gathering nectar at each one in rapid succession. We're footballing artistry at times with Vardy and Mahrez simply serving to provide the final splash of colour.
Crinklyfox Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 At the start of the season I looked at the fixtures and thought 'we'd better have a few points before the end of November because December looks difficult'. Since which time City has exceeded all my expectations and the 'difficult' run has so far resulted in a draw against Man Utd and a win against Swansea. If Swansea had a bit less bad luck they could have scored but we were still the superior team IMO. A lot has been said about the quality of the team, with which I agree. But you play as well as you can given the strength of the opposition. Chelsea are not playing particularly cohesively at present and if we have aspirations for Europe then we have to do a Bournemouth on them next week. After that we have to go to Merseyside and give it our best shot. We'll find out exactly what the potential of this team is in those games; if we come out of them with a few points then there's no reason that we can't keep this going for the rest of the season.
Gerard Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Okazaki didn't start for the 3rd consecutive away game, Leicester scored 3 in all of them, kept 2 clean sheets and took 9 points. Time to give Ulloa a run of games? Looks like he is lacking match sharpness but is very capable. Riyad showing his undoubted ability. Challenge for the title? Why not! You must be mistaken mate. Okazaki wins the ball back that lead to goals, it must be true I read it on here 100 times and was told that anyone who thinks different doesn't understand the game.
ThaiFox Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Must mention the bench. How fantastic it is to have the current Swiss captain with 89 caps, An £8m player, a former Polish international with 60 caps, A 96 cap record scoring current international striker, A 32 cap Welsh midfielder, A Ghana 11 cap international, and 109 cap goalkeeper who are not on the pitch from the beginning? I can't remember a stronger bench!
Jacnah Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 I wonder why all these teams produce their worse performance of the season against us? strange.. great point...it stops being a coincidence afetr a while
ealingfox Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Defending for the corner where Ki hit the bar was comical. Would have been an embarrassing goal to concede if it had gone in.
st albans fox Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Defending for the corner where Ki hit the bar was comical. Would have been an embarrassing goal to concede if it had gone in. Was a free kick but you begin to wonder if sides will attempt to gain set pieces as being their best chance of scoring against us. Pushing forward in open play is dangerous against us Set pieces and a very disciplined approach re a possible breakdown is perhaps the best approach
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 December 2015 Posted 6 December 2015 Thought Monk came across as very, very bitter in his post match interviews yesterday. Clearly lost it - they're still a very, very good side on paper and we dicked them yesterday.
