Why can’t we see how we stack up against ‘The Big Six’ 🤢 as well?

Well my thoughts were the same @jaqo88where are the other 6 why not put all of them in the chart, presumably because they are a different species.

I'd like to see how we stack up against all teams, for me those stats are useless.

I guess we all see things differently .

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy increased his Premier League goal tally to 127 with a brace against Watford this weekend.

Incredibly, 93 of those goals have now come since his 30th birthday, seeing the irrepressible forward surpass Ian Wright for the most Premier League goals beyond the age of 30.

Vardy's brace also saw him move clear of Nicolas Anelka and Robbie Keane in the overall standings, now sitting level with former Leeds United, Chelsea and Middlesbrough striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in 14th place.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the latest standings in the Premier League 100 club after Vardy's exploits.

Seeing Vardy 14th on that list is absolutely AMAZING

Best signing of all time, and the greatest Leicester player of the modern era

Absolutely mind blowing.

The guy turns 35 in about 6 weeks.

Other players at that age, such as Giggs and Sherringham, had to adapt their game, Vardy still relies on pure pace and instinctive finishing.

His late start in the professional game is to his benefit.

He could go on as first choice for another 3 years IMO.

Nevermind one of the Leicester City greats, he's an all time Premier League great.

I would absolutely love to see him surpass Aguero and be come the highest single club player on that list. Top 2 are probably out of reach sadly.

I think breaking top 10 is a real possibility now, but I would be *astounded* if he surpasses Aguero's total, there. To get there Vardy'd need to bag ~50% of his current total, (just shy of 60 league goals), at an age where it's highly possible he won't be playing 38 league games a season, and we've likely got two more full campaigns from him?

I love the bloke but that just isn't going to happen.

Just to piss off and overtake Michael Owen.

He isn't a natural finisher lol

I'd love to see Owen say they again after the goal Vardy scored on Sunday from an impossible angle.

Owen's weird. Also said that Salah and Mane aren't natural finishers.

He seems to have agendas against prolific goalscorers.

He’d only bring up his injuries, though Vards only has to score 24 in his next 68 matches to do it in fewer games. Which he will.

City equal Premier League record

City have got their name in the record books once again, but it’s probably not one they would want.

After 22 minutes of the game, City had conceded and scored, meaning that is now a run of 14 straight away matches in which they have done both. That equals the longest such streak by a Premier League team, Blackburn setting the record back in 2012.

For City, it’s a run that stretches back to February, starting with the 2-1 victory at Aston Villa. They will probably hope not to become the outright record-holders when they head back to Villa Park this weekend, given the desperate need for a clean sheet.

Southampton had the second-worst record at scoring from set-pieces before Wednesday’s game, and yet they managed to net twice from well-worked corners, albeit the second after City had half-cleared.

City now have the worst defensive record in the first halves of games, catching up with Watford on 14.

With 12 first-half goals scored comfortably the fourth-best tally in the division, only behind the runaway top three.

All from the Merc

So basically, if we can stop conceding early, we'll cruise into 4th place.

Sort it out Rodgers!

  • Leicester City lost an away Premier League game in which they scored first for the first time since July 2020 against Bournemouth. Before Sunday, they had won 11 of their past 12 league matches away from the King Power Stadium when scoring first.

  • There were just 170 seconds between the Foxes' opening goal, scored by Harvey Barnes, and Villa’s equaliser from Ezri Konsa.

  • Leicester have conceded 10 Premier League goals from set-pieces this season (excluding penalties) - the joint-most of any side (level with Crystal Palace).

Owen's weird. Also said that Salah and Mane aren't natural finishers.

He seems to have agendas against prolific goalscorers.

I mean, a 'natural finisher' to me is basically a specialised striker, i.e. is limited in other aspects of the game. So Owen is just admitting his own limitations as a player.

Even though Leicester are finished as a team as FA Cup winning manager Brendan Rodgers doesn't know how his erse from his albow , they have the equal 6th best goal difference in the league.

This is despite it seeming like conceding a corner is tantamount to conceding a penalty.

As I have used 'seemingly' , it means my post should be disqualified from a stats thread.  Mods!
