st albans fox Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 LIVERPOOL HAVE NEVER LOST A PL GAME ON BOXING DAY! It's a season of PL firsts re our away form Wins at the Boleyn, Goodison, The Liberty ........
lcfcnsk Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-behind-enemy-lines-10642406#ICID=sharebar_twitter Ahead of Liverpool's match with league leaders Leicester City, SAM DRAPER spoke to BBC Leicester's football reporter and Leicester fan, Ian Stringer. How would you assess Leicester's season so far? The Foxes have had a season of which fans could only dream. Yes, the bubble may burst at some stage but nobody can take away the first 17 games away which sees them top of the pile through attacking play and getting on the front foot as quickly as they can. They’re a team built on desire and hard work but also some players who are blessed with immeasurable quality; Riyad Mahrez is something else. The type of player Liverpool of old could boast. Are fans now starting to believe that Leicester can win the league?I think fans are enjoying the ride at the moment and as we wander into 2016 and the snow starts to thaw, that’s when the fans will start to believe a title bid could be on the cards. It’s still very early and this is unchartered territory for the club so frankly, the city doesn’t have a clue how to react. Who has been Leicester's unsung hero?Leicester’s unsung hero is undoubtedly is N’Golo Kante. Oh what a player this lad is. He is a master at the ancient art of tackling. He sits in the midfield and breaks the play up, times his tackles to perfection. He’s been dubbed ‘The Rash’ in training apparently as when he’s on you you can’t get him off. Which Liverpool players pose Leicester the biggest threat?None. What do you make of Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp?I recall hearing a stat before the weekend’s clashes that he had taken the same amount of points in his last eight as Rodgers did. It would seem the manager has the same struggles as the previous one. As a man he seems great, refreshingly honest and seems a real players’ manager with an arm around you when required but I think he’ll be busy in the transfer window if he gets the chance. Where do you think Liverpool will finish?Below Leicester. And Everton. Where will the game be won and lost? The game will be won and lost in both defences. The Foxes defence has been a little more steady of late although they still scored three at Goodison and allowed Everton a route back into the game and let’s be right, Liverpool’s defensive display against Watford at the weekend won’t have caused the authors of the defending handbook the consider any re-writes. Score prediction?Liverpool 1-3 Leicester City.
lifted*fox Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 He doesn't actually say that does he. They've taken two of his answers and mashed them together in a fake quote to make up some sensational OTT headline.
Vacamion Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-behind-enemy-lines-10642406#ICID=sharebar_twitter I clicked on that Liverpool Echo link and my phone was assaulted by a load of "you've been chosen by Apple for testing - click here for your free iPhone" spam and pop ups. Took me a few minutes to get control of my phone back. Twastards
MooseBreath Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 That's not spam mate. When you click on any Liverpool related website it automatically takes you to the local classifieds were you can buy all manner of stolen goods for pennies.
ozleicester Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Alrighty, back in Liverpool. Im going for a 1-2 Leicester win in my last game. Vards and Kante to score
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Calling us to win this 1-2 tomorrow.
Mark_w Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 He doesn't actually say that does he. They've taken two of his answers and mashed them together in a fake quote to make up some sensational OTT headline. Taking quotes out of context? Sensationalist bullshit stories? You're right, Ian Stringer is going to be livid when he sees this.
Gerard Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 I just want to keep this run going. Win tomorrow and then beat Man City on Tuesday and suddenly it's a two horse race. C'mon Leicester.
Nuneatonfox in Manchester Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Can see us starting very well with Liverpool making a late surge leading to another nervy finish. Coutinho is due a screamer and I worry about Benteke, he's just the type of player who could hurt us, although they haven't really utilised his aerial ability, or even been playing him lately. 2-3 Leicester, onwards and upwards guys!
Leicesterpool Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 1-1 Draw I think, going to be a tight affair.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 6pts from the next two games would be sensational. It's possible. We are coming up against two teams with top players. But, if we play the way we have being, I believe we can get positive results from both. 4pts would be impressive as well though.
CharlieCharles Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Beat these and then get something against Man City... Got a horrible feeling we will loose, as i did against Swansea, Chelsea, Man Utd, Newcastle and Everton. The time when i predict a win is when we loose.
Bettsj2 Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Got a feeling it'll be 2 defeats on the bounce.
CharlieCharles Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Kasper Fuchs - Wasyl - Morgan - Fuchs Mahrez - DD - Kante - Mahrez Okazaki - Vardy The first goal seems to be crucial with Liverpool this season, go for them in the first 15.
johnny the fox Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Kasper Fuchs - Wasyl - Morgan - Fuchs Mahrez - DD - Kante - Mahrez Okazaki - Vardy The first goal seems to be crucial with Liverpool this season, go for them in the first 15. so we are going to win with 9 men..cool
Carl the Llama Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 so we are going to win with 9 men..cool No we're going to play our Fuchs and Mahrez clones.
CharlieCharles Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 so we are going to win with 9 men..cool I actually dont understand how i managed to do that without realizing.
NewEnglandFox Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 Liverpool legend Steve Nicol is bloody petrified of us. http://www.espnfc.us/barclays-premier-league/23/video/2769134/nicol-liverpool-will-struggle-against-leicester
ealingfox Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 Christ if we had Fuchs' right-footed twin at RB and 2 Mahrezs then we really would be laughing.
johnny the fox Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 Liverpool legend Steve Nicol is bloody petrified of us. http://www.espnfc.us/barclays-premier-league/23/video/2769134/nicol-liverpool-will-struggle-against-leicester now im worried..
ealingfox Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 Surprisingly confident about this tbh but think we will have to settle for a point. They can't be as bad as they have been last 2 games. With them celebrating a draw at home to West Brom like they did I expect a full-on goonage with champagne, confetti and a Bronze statue of Klopp if they can get one against us.
