Ahead of Liverpool's match with league leaders Leicester City, SAM DRAPER spoke to BBC Leicester's football reporter and Leicester fan, Ian Stringer.

How would you assess Leicester's season so far?

The Foxes have had a season of which fans could only dream.

Yes, the bubble may burst at some stage but nobody can take away the first 17 games away which sees them top of the pile through attacking play and getting on the front foot as quickly as they can.

They’re a team built on desire and hard work but also some players who are blessed with immeasurable quality; Riyad Mahrez is something else. The type of player Liverpool of old could boast.

Are fans now starting to believe that Leicester can win the league?

I think fans are enjoying the ride at the moment and as we wander into 2016 and the snow starts to thaw, that’s when the fans will start to believe a title bid could be on the cards.

It’s still very early and this is unchartered territory for the club so frankly, the city doesn’t have a clue how to react.

Who has been Leicester's unsung hero?

Leicester’s unsung hero is undoubtedly is N’Golo Kante. Oh what a player this lad is.

He is a master at the ancient art of tackling. He sits in the midfield and breaks the play up, times his tackles to perfection.

He’s been dubbed ‘The Rash’ in training apparently as when he’s on you you can’t get him off.

Which Liverpool players pose Leicester the biggest threat?

None.

What do you make of Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp?

I recall hearing a stat before the weekend’s clashes that he had taken the same amount of points in his last eight as Rodgers did.

It would seem the manager has the same struggles as the previous one.

As a man he seems great, refreshingly honest and seems a real players’ manager with an arm around you when required but I think he’ll be busy in the transfer window if he gets the chance.

Where do you think Liverpool will finish?

Where will the game be won and lost?

The game will be won and lost in both defences.

The Foxes defence has been a little more steady of late although they still scored three at Goodison and allowed Everton a route back into the game and let’s be right, Liverpool’s defensive display against Watford at the weekend won’t have caused the authors of the defending handbook the consider any re-writes.

Liverpool 1-3 Leicester City.

Coutinho is due a screamer and I worry about Benteke, he's just the type of player who could hurt us, although they haven't really utilised his aerial ability, or even been playing him lately.

Surprisingly confident about this tbh but think we will have to settle for a point. They can't be as bad as they have been last 2 games.

With them celebrating a draw at home to West Brom like they did I expect a full-on goonage with champagne, confetti and a Bronze statue of Klopp if they can get one against us.
