NewEnglandFox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Wow. So many people overreacting to my post. There is a obvious (and unneeded to mention) difference between risking potential injury or bringing players back too early and playing players that have 95% instead of 100% to give. I never suggested to bring Drinky back if he's not ready. I was saying this is the game we can get 3 points out of so I'd like to see us not hold back in this game at the expense of Man City. In the end there are no good decisions, only what works or doesn't. If Claudio makes 4-5 chances and it works he's brilliant. If he makes 4-5 changes and it doesn't, it wasn't a good idea.
MC Prussian Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Any news on Vardy? Will he be fit for this? I suppose he will - question is whether he can cope for the full 90 minutes or whether he'll be used as a substitute. Currently, it says he's got a knock. Let's remain positive - so far, we've seen the fruits of labor of an excellent sports med team and I'm sure they're doing whatever they can to bring him back into action fully fit.
My Nads Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 We've only played one game since the Chelsea game an to be fair to Vardy it was peeing down with rain and he did win a peno from chasing the ball. He is not 100% and he hasn't been for quite a while. It's obvious he's carrying an injury. He hasn't been beating people for pace to the extent he usually does. If he gets booked on Saturday it would be a blessing in disguise.
STUHILL Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 If Man City get Kompany and a fully fit Aguero back, then I can see that being a loss for us, which makes getting a win against Liverpool more important. Tough game as I can see them having a reaction from their crap performance against Watford. Heart says 3-1 win, head says 2-2
Benguin Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Jamie Vardy has scored or assisted a goal in 15 successive Premier League appearances (extending his own Premier League record). Is it not 17 games? Sunderland = scored West Ham = Assisted (Shinji's goal) Tottenham= Assisted (Headed flick for Mahrez) Bournemouth = Scored Aston Villa = Scored Stoke = Scored Arsenal = Scored Norwich = scored Southampton = Scored Palace = Scored West Brom = Scored Watford = Scored Newcastle = Scored Man United = Scored Swansea = Assisted - (Mahrez's third goal) Chelsea = Scored Everton = Assisted (Shinji's goal)
BirminghamFox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 my Liverpool mate has gone on all year long about Wes Morgan cheating by FACEBALL! time to pay them back with a comfortable Leicester win! I predict 3-1 Leicester, goals from Vardy, Mahrez and Big Wes with his face!
jammie82uk Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Is it not 17 games? Father Ted Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Schmeichel Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez King Kante Albrighton Ulloa Vardy Subs: Hamer, Wasilewski, Dyer, Inler, Okazaki, Dodoo, De Laet. I think Ranieri's team selection will largely depend upon his thoughts for Man City next Tuesday night. I think it makes sense to bring Huth back in for Wasilewski, as astounding as Wasyl was at Everton, Huth comes straight back in for me. I wouldn't risk Drinkwater either if we don't need to. Would be tempted to give Dyer a run out over Albrighton to keep Albrighton fresh for Tuesday night also. Can also see Okazaki being favoured against City so can see Ulloa starting here, especially as it looks that Skrtel may be out.
C-man Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Is it not 17 games? Which would make it 18 games as he scored vs QPR on last day last year.

NotTheMarketLeader Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 What are you people even trying to say "resting players." We need to put ourselves in the best possible position to take points in these games. That starts by putting our best lineup out in front of the worse team which is Liverpool. Why would we intentionally weaken ourselves in the easier game to try to have a better lineup for the harder one? That's how you take 0 points from these 2 games. We don't know which Man City will show up. This. I think the answer is they are idiots. By all means rest the injured, but no way can we afford to leave out our best / first choice players.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Attack from the off. An early goal to us and they'll fold.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 He is not 100% and he hasn't been for quite a while. It's obvious he's carrying an injury. He hasn't been beating people for pace to the extent he usually does. If he gets booked on Saturday it would be a blessing in disguise.Don't be daft. So he misses the Man City game? If he's injured, and I agree, I believe he has been carrying one for weeks, then the Drs / Claudio should really leave him out to recover if that's possible. If they won't do that then it's up to him. Its clear to me that even half fit he's 10 times the player Ulloa is. We will not win many games without him at the moment let put it that way, even crocked he created 2 of our goals on Saturday! We need to get a back up in January if we are to stay in the top four, for this very reason imo.
NewEnglandFox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Attention King fanboys: CR: “Danny Drinkwater is getting better, but at the moment I don’t want to risk him and also Andy King is playing very well.”
Bluetintedspecs Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Attention King fanboys: CR: “Danny Drinkwater is getting better, but at the moment I don’t want to risk him and also Andy King is playing very well.” Attention King fan boys? What's that supposed to mean? DD is injured and Kingy is a very able deputy, so your point is?
Countryfox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Its easy to say that 'settle for a draw' sh1t but this Leicester team are on fire at the moment and so full of confidence they could probably win the world cup ! ....... 2 0 Leicester.
Littletoe Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Leicester double chance at evens is surely worth a bet? Can see us getting a draw minimum out of this game
ARM1968 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Let them have the ball and pass it around all they like. Possession stats of 65% to 35% are fine as long as the stats that matter are in our favour. Play our game, go for the throat when the chance is there and I believe we will win.
Lionheart10 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Spoke to a Liverpool STH today and he reckons with all the injuries they have got Can & Lucas are playing as Centre Backs,Vardy & Mahrez will terrorise them two!!!
Nuneatonfox in Manchester Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Got to fancy a win here, their defence is a shambles, Clyne is decent but surely mahrez/albrighton will have the beating of Moreno all day, can't see Sahko dealing with Vardy at all. Just hope Mike Jones isn't the ref! I still haven't got over that "handball" the absolute whopper!
yorkie1999 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Is Vardy injured? Couldn't see him training on LCFC.com
