ajthefox Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 This game is going to be hard! They have just been battered and their manager is going to be drilling them all week on sloppiness and I think they will be a different team from the one that lost on Sunday. Very much this Would be happy with a draw This. There's no way they get dominated in the same way twice in a row.
sdb Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Expect a backlash. Imagine Klopp will have them in all week looking for a response. Good start for us though and who knows. We can hurt any team...
Guest Manini Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 No chance they'll come out and play as bad as they did against Watford. They're nailed on not to loose, and that's what they'll play for, 1-1 or 0-0 I'm going for. However I hope we smash them off the Anfield pitch...I fxcking hate Liverpool.
Aus Fox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 What are you people even trying to say "resting players." We need to put ourselves in the best possible position to take points in these games. That starts by putting our best lineup out in front of the worse team which is Liverpool. Why would we intentionally weaken ourselves in the easier game to try to have a better lineup for the harder one? That's how you take 0 points from these 2 games. We don't know which Man City will show up. Or we look at the season as a whole rather than looking at each individual game on its own. We don't know the condition of the squad but with a lot of games in quick succession it could be a good game to rotate one or two. Big Was had a good game at Everton and we could let someone such as Wes have a rest while, Was is match sharp.
UPinCarolina Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Vardy picked up a knock, Klopp is no slouch of a manager - Liverpool will give us everything that we can handle this weekend and then some. A draw would be just fine from my perspective.

The last two kept him out for several weeks each time. Perhaps better to be safe than sorry and give him an extra few days rest on it?
My Nads Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 3-1 as usual, it's our most likely scoreline! We win when we want!!
Ric Flair Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 3-1 as usual, it's our most likely scoreline! We win when we want!! We've not won 3-1 all season?

Vardy is worrying me a bit too. He's slower and he isn't chasing after everything since the Chelsea game. He looks like he could do with a rest or more time off to recover. I'd like to see him on the bench and only come on if we really need him.
My Nads Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 We've not won 3-1 all season? I mean we score 3 goals quite often, but we don't seem to keep a clean sheet, so 3-1 seems the most likely score.
My Nads Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I just remembered they lost to Newcastle...how is that even possible? I'm now going for 7-0
simon789us Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Hoping for at least 4 points from the next 2 games tough going I know but it would give us 13 points from our nightmare dec not bad going at all
Grey Fox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 We owe them for this. Absolute disgrace of a referee! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhcrP4KbwCE
Guest Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I see 4 points from our next 2 games as possible and top of the table at the end of the year.

lgfualol Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I see 4 points from our next 2 games as possible and top of the table at the end of the year. God, we were so crap around that time, shite form and everything went against us. Our current squad is like a completely new team, Coutinho would have not been able to get past Kante, Drinkwater and current Simpson like he did around Hammond, James and old Simpson. The Ref was so pleased to give Liverpool the two penalties though.

We've only played one game since the Chelsea game an to be fair to Vardy it was peeing down with rain and he did win a peno from chasing the ball.
jammie82uk Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Stat time Liverpool have won four and lost none of their last six Barclays Premier League games against Leicester City. Liverpool have never lost at home in the Premier League on Boxing Day (W5 D3), but Leicester were one of the teams to earn a draw back in 1996. Leicester were unbeaten in their last nine Boxing Day matches before returning to the top flight (W4 D5). However, they have won just one of their last 10 fixtures on this day in the top division of English football (W1 D3 L6). Jamie Vardy has won six penalties in the Premier League since the start of 2014-15; more than any other player. Jurgen Klopp has won just three of his first nine Premier League games in charge of Liverpool; the same tally that Brendan Rodgers managed in eight PL games as the Reds manager this season. Leicester City have won 18 of their last 26 Premier League games (D6 L2) – in the same period, Liverpool have collected just eight wins (D8 L10). Riyad Mahrez has scored seven goals in nine Premier League appearances in the month of December. Only two players have been involved in more goals than Riyad Mahrez (20) in the top five European leagues so far in 2015-16 – Aubameyang (22) and Ibrahimovic (21). Jamie Vardy has scored or assisted a goal in 15 successive Premier League appearances (extending his own Premier League record). Leicester are only the second team in top-flight history to be bottom of the league at Xmas one season and top of that league on Xmas day the following season, after Norwich City in 1987-88 (bottom) and 1988-89 (top).
RobHawk Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 We owe them for this. Absolute disgrace of a referee! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhcrP4KbwCE I remember watching this game at the time and being so incensed at half time i wanted the team to refuse to come back out! The first penalty, well theres no words. Referees give what they see, well god knows what he was smoking before the game if he saw the ball hit morgans arm! The smugness on his face when morgan tells him it hit him in the face as well! The 2nd hit his hand but was also incredibly soft! Great goal by Nug too Rewatching that video make me want to win this game even more. I bet Wes is well up for it!
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Seems like Ranieri has all but confirmed King will retain his place & drinkwater most likely won't make the game.
RobHawk Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Just seen this on BBC Sport "I’m proud of my players and our fans. The fans are dreaming and I don’t want to wake them up," says Ranieri. "We must enjoy, play free and without pressure. If the world are speaking about you then you enjoy and continue to play.” Talk about taking the pressure of the players - Just go out and enjoy boys - don't worry about all the extra attention, its all part of the fun! Love claudio!
filbertstreet Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Any news on Vardy? Will he be fit for this? he's injured?
