Liverpool.. Boxing day.. Early thoughts..

A fantastic time to play them.

Liverpool won't come out stronger looking for a response next week. Klopp will give off the impression that is the case, but really we need to strike fear and pace into that defence from the off.

Really hope we win to prove the LCFC "haters" that we are in actual fact the best team in the division.

Looking forward to this game. Hopefully Don Ranieri will tactically outshine Flopp!

definitely should be looking to go out and win (which we always do) considering how well we're playing at the moment and how poor liverpool are at the moment. Add to that the two games last season where we were by far the better team in both games and we should be going into this game in a very confident mood.

As long as Wes doesn't let the ball hit him in the face in the box, we should get through this one!

I think we might just edge this one, I'm going for a 1-2 Leicester win.

Odd team selection he made against Watford with no Benteke so I expect him to start, but hopefully has an off day and actually that kind of striker is what Wes and Huth love to play against, so they will be up for the battle.

They look to have load of problems at the back with injuries. I am expecting a response from them after such a crappy performance but the way we are playing, I am confident of another win, especially if we get after them and their nerves begin to show

Going for 3-1 Leicester win

Wes needs to learn to keep his face down by his sides!

Now is the perfect time to play Liverpool. After that humbling from Watford the Liverpool fans will jump right on their players if we hit them early.

Also have you seen their injuries at the back? This is a perfect game for Okazaki imo. Him and Vardy will run them ragged. In fact I can see Vardys first hattrick in the prem.

Early goal and the fans will turn. I can see this being one of our most comfortable victories. 1-4.

Saying that though its Liverpool we are talking about. They have some real quality in that side. Start of the season away at Liverpool would have been one of them games where it would have been looked at as a 'bonus game' as we probably wouldn't fancy our chances. The way we have been playing this season has completely changed the mentality of us as fans.

Long may this mental season continue.

P.S play King again and let Drinky rest for the Man City game. The midfield will be crucial for that game and an extra bit of rest for Drinky could prove the difference.

Liverpool is 3-3-2 at home

W: Villa, Bournemouth, Swansea

D: Norwich, Southampton, West Brom

L: West Ham, Palace

Bloody hell, that's a shocking return from those clubs, they haven't really played anybody yet.

Absolutely nothing to fear here and the pressure is all on them. They'll have to attack us and we can get goals against that defence.

This game is going to be hard! They have just been battered and their manager is going to be drilling them all week on sloppiness and I think they will be a different team from the one that lost on Sunday.

Very much this

Would be happy with a draw

I work with a Scouser who has a season ticket and she's "not going to bother ruining her Boxing Day to travel there to see her side get hammered".

Tough one to predict, this one.

One on hand, you have the in-form team of the table, the league leaders who suffer from few injury woes and who can boast a squad with a positive team spirit and that thrives under the guidance of a veteran Italian manager.

Liverpool on the other hand, have somewhat lost that lovely feeling under Klopp in the past few matches and the absences of a couple of key players are hampering their revival. At present, they look stuck in mid-table.

But what you hope for is that they don't come out of the tunnel on Saturday in the shape of a wounded animal.

Just like with Everton, we need to exploit their weakness at the back and negate any attempts at build-up play in the middle. Their midfield-to-forwards interaction at Vicarage Road was woeful, the Reds had hardly any goalscoring chances to show for.

They were overrun in midfield and Watford simply wanted it more than Liverpool.

Also, we have that last result at Anfield Road to make up. At least one of the home side's goals in that 2-2 draw was a gift by the referee.

What are you people even trying to say "resting players." We need to put ourselves in the best possible position to take points in these games. That starts by putting our best lineup out in front of the worse team which is Liverpool. Why would we intentionally weaken ourselves in the easier game to try to have a better lineup for the harder one? That's how you take 0 points from these 2 games. We don't know which Man City will show up.

Got a bad feeling about this game.

Then again, I said the same before the Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton games...and the team prove me wrong every time.

Would play the same side as against Everton, but with Huth back in for Was. Ulloa and Dyer should be on the bench as impact players.

I find it even more amusing, We have a manager who upto now has shown he damn knows

What hes doing, sees the players in training....and we would like to suggest what he should do.

If resting, or delaying returns is in his scenario, then ok, if he believes the players should/could/can

be on the teamsheet, thats ok with me.
