filbertway Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 As unhappy as I am at losing what piss ed me off the most was the awful BBC coverage. I don't want to see the crowd, the managers, players on the bench, replays etc whilst the game is got on. Never watch a game on BT sport. You will hate it.
Webbo Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Stankevikus, paniyataiou - any of the youth really, at least they'd be able to trap a ball or not run away from it. Guy was dreadful as he has been every week for months. Oh come off it. You'll be saying my granny would have done better next. We all know that's not true.

You can't blame BBC, basically the cameraman was crowd surfing to find good looking poon, its not his fault that Leicester fans that are women are of the worst looking in the leagueOh come off it. fuchsntf Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Dyer, is a surging winger, who was asked to play too defensivily, Gray, was too often filling in holes, instead of being let free. Claudio, or players got 1st half tactics wrong.Got the rest of the season right, so who cares. King, Inler cant deliver has a pair.I thought at home Inler, with King and DD at his side, would hold the midfield. Now, its back to normal against Stoke,1st choices 1st team,1st rate return. That postion, pairing with Vardy, will be Shinjis. Sub: if I had a choice for that position, would be Gray or King, with Sclupp, when he returns. I have come to accept, that Claudio, nor club, will invest in a new striker before the summer. I have to accept, that Ulloa will still get the nod..
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 I think this argument about Ranieri not being bothered is bollox. The players were clearly trying. There was no lack of effort. What was lacking was quality. Apart from Erikssen (head and shoulders above everyone else) and flashes of excitement from young Gray, we had no quality. We couldn't keep the ball, the supply from the midfield was non existent and we never looked like scoring. Very very poor tonight.
Chester Dontlie Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Chilwell looks decent. Is it just me that thinks gray is too greedy? No doubting he has talent but a few times tonight he tried too much when a simple pass was on. Maybe trying too hard to impress. Yeah I was thinking that too especially towards the end when the strikers were getting into positions and he was just going on and on with the ball. I guess Claudio will probably have a word with him about it, hopefully sooner rather than later. Gray really gives us another option, he can actually take on defenders and can cross.

The BBC aren't a sport channel these days though and it shows.
johnny the fox Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Would of preferred to go out on our shield ..but its not the Italian way..........so be it... lessons to be learned?

Number 6 Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Ranieri just said on the radio we wanted to get in to half time 0-0. WTF? It's Spurs at home in the cup, have a go. Terrible defensive shit. There was about 5 mins in the second half when we pressed them and surprise, surprise looked much better.
Dr The Singh Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Well that's a bit rude!!!!!!!Present company a exception obviously
daddylonglegs Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 I ****ing love Andy King but why doesn't he try and attack any more, he never goes forward! Tonight really strengthened the 'pundits' view of 'our squad isn't good enough' because in reality we were properly rubbish tonight and I wouldn't give anyone apart from our left side more than a 4/10

justfoxes Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 A couple of positives tonight I think Claudio has found out a few of our squad are not up to it Dyer has lost the plot completely !! Gray was awesome what a prospect Chilwell very promising !! But at least we lost tonight and it felt like a loss unlike walking away from Villa park drawing and feeling like we lost !! Let's hope CR can sort this out starting Saturday against Stoke keep up with the Gooners keep our great Premier League season staying on track !!
Thracian Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Ranieri must have been taking the mickey when he called Kramaric an excellent goalscorer because if he was telling the truth why the hell wouldn't you fit him into what we presented as a strike force tonight. Another goalless home game would have been forgiveable if our defence had remained sound but it didn't and it was hard to see us ever scoring today because no-one seemed the actually want to score. Vardy had a great break but couldn't control the ball, Ulloa headed high when well positioned, Albrighton shot straight at the goalkeeper without ever looking like doing anything else, Gray shot high over the bar when well placed and half bent a harmless free-kick into the goalkeeper's arms - if it wouoldn't make me sound cynical I'd almost say we didn't want to score. Plus points? Not a lot. I agree with others that Chilwell and Gray looked promising, functioned fairly well as a pair and offered our best chance for creating something - particularly Chilwell's floated chip to the far post which offered Albrighton such a simple finish. Vardy too fed a brilliant chance to Ulloa but instead of just volleying the thing from mid-height he failed to cushion the ball and finish the ball but totally lost control instead. I suppose Chilwell was arguably to blame for their first goal - offering the striker a little too much of a target. But Kingy might have tighter and more aggressive in preventing the creating pass and Kasper should surely have covered his near post better...so take your pick. Either way Chilwell responded by applying himself even more effectively - both defensively and in attack to confirm what a promising prospect he looks.. Gray's clearly a threat with his close control, change of pace and velvet right foot but, like Waghorn before him, he needs to hit the target and to build the strength of his left foot so he's got alternative runs available and doesn't get too predictable. Overall I thought we were like a team of creaking golf buggies which were short on battery power. We did try to pass and move but didn't have the control or the energy to look convincing. We did try to attack more after the break but lacked the heart, pace and energy we once had. Bottom line is I'm glad we're out and able to focus on our Premiership challenge. But how desperately we need a new striker or two and the pace and strength of Schlupp, or someone like him, to go with a (hopefully) revived Vardy all backed by the pace and strength of Amartey, all being well. More than that we've got to restore our balance and, instead of being so obsessed with defending, start looking as if we're capable of scoring again. Cos right now we look almost apologetic in and around the penalty area As if even being there is a surprise instead of what we expect.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 How many games have you said this is no time for a knee-jerk reaction lately? Probably 4 out of the last 5? I think you'll find it's been my reaction to the over reaction to the last 2 games! Any fan of our club that isn't realistic that a blip of some description wasn't coming is patently deluded. The reactions to the inevitable is the crazy thing not my calm down and don't kneejerk! The player and game management in the his difficult period is actually very good we've not lost games and a couple could have been very different! We are still in a massively strong position with just the league to focus on! I say take a reality check and stop acting like petulant children with sbsolutely no sense of perspective.
AmyLGK Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Present company a exception obviously Haha obviously!
The Doctor Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Oh come off it. You'll be saying my granny would have done better next. We all know that's not true. Thing is my grans been dead for a decade this summer and she still would have had a better first touch than him. First all came from him wasting a chance to get rid by pretending to to be a concrete block, then spent the rest of the game hiding from the ball except when he fancied doing a steve Howard impression (miss control, lose ball, foul). I cannot see any way Kramaric can have been worse in training short of turning up pissed and mooching in the corner with a six pack of tennants super. If we'd lined up with 10 we'd have still been better going forward
Dr The Singh Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Haha obviously! I think you look alot nicer without that burka in your last post
001merp Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 I think one of the most disappointing things about today was the lack of support. We made the most noise when Vardy came on. I tried to start some chants in the Kop and people looked at me like I shouldn't be singing. Loudest ovation was when Vardy came on. Sometimes I wonder if people support Leicester or Vardy.

ThaiFox Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Poor game. I hate losing to Tottingham. Gray and Chilwell were great though and I'd be happy to see them in the first team anytime as their energy was what we need. Okazaki sharpened things up after half time, Ulloa was poor again, but had little supply or support, I can't understand why we are not getting another striker in because it's obvious we are toothless without Vardy, and he isn't anywhere near 100%. I wish he'd not come on tonight so he was fresh for Stoke. We move on. We have more very tough matches coming up. The good thing is the teams around us have a lot of matches to play and we only have the P/L to concentrate on, and in our position I think that is the most important this year. If we beat Stoke on Saturday, tonight and the Villa match will be forgotten as it'll be 7 points out of 9. But Stoke will be very tough so a win wont be a catwalk.
Steve Earle Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Never thought I'd be writing this, but we need Schluppy back!
NewEnglandFox Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Ranieri just said on the radio we wanted to get in to half time 0-0. Well it's quiet obvious he didn't sent the boys out to get us on the scoresheet in first half.
