Jakemoore Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 I've just seen that the club has issued an apology to fans who were stopped from gaining entry in to the KP tonight and were therefore late. What was going on there?
AKCJ Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Dunno what happened but it took some utter berk about half an hour to work out how his ticket worked in front of me.
ramboacdc Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 I've just seen that the club has issued an apology to fans who were stopped from gaining entry in to the KP tonight and were therefore late. What was going on there? They said any tickets bought after friday were to be collected or e tickets. seems a lot went for collected...major **** up.
Ross-Kemp Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Absolute shambles. They issue everyone with a ticket printed on A4 paper which you had to rip and then force feed into the turnstile machine. Well the machine didn't want to accept about 80% of them, never ever seen queues like that outside the KP. Kudos to Ashley for letting me slide in with him

Kudos to Ashley for letting me slide in with him Surely they can manually control the turnstiles and just check tickets personally? Seems obvious to me but maybe I'm wrong.
ramboacdc Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Surely they can manually control the turnstiles and just check tickets personally? Seems obvious to me but maybe I'm wrong. they have no way of doing it now. the ticket scanners are in the way.

yorkie1999 Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Game started with 20000 and finished with 30000
wattolcfc Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 What does an apology do for the fans that missed the first 15 minutes? Today was a shambles from start to finish.
GaelicFox Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 10k locked out at the start of game , wow that's a serious incident ! Very serious
Bayfox Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Well it looks like we have 2 options. 20k who actually know how entering a ground works. Or 10 pound a ticket to sell 30k. But they are all stood outside working out how to enter a football stadium. .* *again not legally binding but ffs. Try turning up a little bit earlier if you have shitty e tickets. You actually expected them to work
Aus Fox Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Did the club apologize for letting them in? I don't usually agree with your posts, but this made me chuckle. If i wasn't on my phone I would +1
oohaahmustafa Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Non of the printed e tickets worked. Major **** up. Never seen ques like it.
Adster Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Steward told me there were serious issues with the paper tickets.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 The same happens every time we sell a lot of paper tickets. Nothing changes, the process gets no better and no one turns up any earlier. Both parties as bad as each other!

You actually expected them to work The majority of the printed tickets didn't work. Not quite sure why you'd expect people to turn up earlier just because they've got a different method of gaining entrance than usual. It should just work!
Stadt Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 It took the stewards or staff about 10 minutes of queuing to realise they should have one side scanning season tickets and the other side manually checking
Ashley Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Started thread earlier. Actually disgusted that no stewards knew what to do in this situation with thousands of fans outside the ground still. One steward(orange and white coat) went into a breakdown when I suggested manually working the turnstiles.. she said I don't know what to do its not my problem is it.. erm well who's provlem is it? Could of turned ugly tonight. Needs improving incase of any future incidents

It's got nothing to do with the stewards and everything to do with the ticket office and technical side of things.
Channies6thswan Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 We joined the queue for sk1 at 7.30 and got in 10 minutes into the game. What compounded the problem was that people just kept jumping in the front of the queue and the stewards did nothing about it. I asked 2 stewards why they wouldn't open the big gate as it was starting to turn ugly - both replied that it wasn't their decision! As I got to the front of the queue a couple walked right up to the steward on the gate and said they were season ticket holders - so he let them in! I said most people queueing were season ticket holders to which he just shrugged his shoulders. Absolute shambles.
Babylon Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Person I got tickets for was in the queue at 7.30 and didn't get in until about 30/35 minutes gone. Total shambles, people on the gates had no idea what to do, some saying go to the main ticket office, some just shrugging.
Illusion35 Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Queued for ages to get into the east stand, got to my seat in k block just before kick off so very lucky compared to others! A lot still outside. However got to my season ticket seat to find a Spurs fan in front of me, wearing a Spurs scarf, joining in with their songs and jumping up to celebrate their first goal. Really annoyed me - if you must go in the home end don't wear your colours or celebrate goals!
SystonFox Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Did many people jib in? Reason I ask is cos I was sat in a2 and there were two blokes constantly moving seats throughout the first half tonight. It was more entertaining than our performance to watch and now it sort of adds up why they were being told to move every 5 minutes
