Weller in Tights Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 The whole team were outstanding. Kante and Drinky though....wow! The highlight for me today is not having to read negative, kneejerk bs This. We're top of the league folks. We've played exciting football for most of the season. We have the best away record in the league. We have the fewest defeats in the league. We have 3 tough games coming up, please knee-jerkers be realistic with these games.
Rincewind Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Back to normal, you an stop fretting now. robert huthVerified account@robert_huth Nine times out of ten they creep inside the top corner ... Honestly #throwin
MC Prussian Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Looking back, today's performance was an all-round one. Almost perfect from start to finish, and that against a team missing one of their most creative forwards (Arnautovic) and that still didn't play too badly. The match could've gone either way in the first half, but Drinkwater's goal coupled with Shawcross limping off the field with a back injury broke Stoke's neck. Every single Leicester player today put in a near faultless performance. There was hardly any lost possession, no moaning, no miscommunications on the pitch. The team showed attacking intent through the bone. The only downsides (and I'm clinging onto straws here) were Albrighton's somewhat disappointing crossing and the fact that I'd have loved to see a third substitution. I'm very glad we finally have the team back that took the league and fans worldwide by storm earlier on this season. Even more impressive is our defensive record - we continue to keep clean sheets, which is a testament to an established back four with Fuchs, Huth, Morgan and Simpson. I thought Stoke hardly ever threatened Schmeichel. But what he had to save, he did. He was also again influential in initiating swift attacks with his long kicks. Drinkwater is my MOTM. Bossed midfield alongside Kanté from start to finish, a goal and an assist are testament to the former's influence. I was a bit angry at Mahrez in the first half, because he came across as a bit selfish and absent in terms of tracking back and marking (just trotting along, so to speak). He clearly upped his game in the second half. Great to see him and Vardy finding their feet again and chipping in goals/assists once more. We've got three very tough fixtures coming up next - if we get past February and are able to attack our remaining program beginning with Norwich at home, we've created a terrific situation for ourselves with a Top Four finishing spot almost a given. Long may it continue. More of this again, please.
Corky Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Enjoyed that, much more positive in our approach, didn't let them settle into the game and pressed them higher up the pitch. As a result we were able to not resort to aimless punts forward all the time and try to build attacks. Ends a tough week and should settle nerves that were beginning to show. Excellent day.
smithy2000 Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Does anyone know why recently pre match the players arrive and go through the players entrance then seem to go out the tunnel and to the right before heading back to the changing rooms? Seen it on the LCFC snapchat the past few home games and then from today's tunnel cam you see Mahrez and Kante arriving late and quickly heading out via the tunnel.

daddylonglegs Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Don't know if this has already been mentioned but I've just been reading the Stoke forum and some of the replies are brilliant to the thread 'what do we think of leicester?' In response to a comment 'Not only do they deserve to be top now but I hope they go on and win it' the response: How the hell can you say that ???!!! After witnessing their players falling down for freekicks at every opportunity ?After hearing their gay supporters clack-clacking on their stupid whatever-they-are ?I'd rather see them all drown in a river of vomit and have Gary lineker thrown in with them for good measure They're just bloody lucky extremely average side and if the PL wasn't as crap as it currently is (no PL players in UEfA team selection speaks volumes) they'd be hovering intir bottom half of the table They've been extremely lucky and helped by the refs, justLike today Read more: http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/253166/make-leicester#ixzz3y6fp3SxP
Steven Posted 23 January 2016 Author Posted 23 January 2016 The whole team were outstanding. Kante and Drinky though....wow! The highlight for me today is not having to read negative, kneejerk bs Simpson and Ulloa are crap. Huth and Schmeichel are a liability. Albrighton looks tired. Drinkwater looks rusty and needs a loan to a Championship side; Rotherham? Okazaki keeps falling over and Vardy and Mahrez have lost their confidence. This sort of thing?
Larry_LCFC Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Stoke lot came across as a bitter, gobby bunch of muppets. There were plenty of them giving it the biggun until the police lobbed them out the ground.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Simpson and Ulloa are crap. Huth and Schmeichel are a liability. Albrighton looks tired. Drinkwater looks rusty and needs a loan to a Championship side; Rotherham? Okazaki keeps falling over and Vardy and Mahrez have lost their confidence. This sort of thing? Indeed
Countryfox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Stoke are a good team ... so we are told. But are they really crap or did we just make them look it .. ? Either way ... what a performance. Loved watching those new tricks they have been working on during training .... But old Huthy needs a bit more practice !
Larry_LCFC Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Time to watch it again on Match Choice. I'm looking forward to this
Carl the Llama Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Simpson and Ulloa are crap. Huth and Schmeichel are a liability. Albrighton looks tired. Yeah but how many on here are equally moronic? More than enough people shutting them down.
Tuna Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Vardy's touch past the keeper and finish for the goal were sublime, if it was Aguero who has done that pundits would be fapping left right and centre.
WesMorganGod Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Buzzing, this was easily our best performance of the season. Stoke are a very difficult team to play and they have actually beaten or drawn against all the top sides this season. what a fantastic result and we played very well.
dylanlegend Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Simpson was brilliant today. Made some headers that could have killed us if gone in. Definitely deserves a lot of credit for his performance
glenelgfox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Great result. Kante - best PL signing this season. DD - great performance and finally scored which won me $80.00! Fuchs - he is outstanding and to think we got him on a free transfer! I still get frustrated at how we lump ball forward too often especially with no really tall forward but played with more confidence on the deck yesterday and once a few of our players got their first touch sorted we really moved ball well. Leo - jury still out but he showed glimpses of what he should be doing but I get frustrated with how deep into midfield he defends even allowing for fact he had Vardy up front with him. Still scoring hopefully gives him confidence to build on but we need another striker ASAP so I hope CR spends what he has to but we need one who complements our style and structure. We are still living the dream and I have everything crossed that this continues over the next 3 games especially.
benmeysner Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I agree with the Simpson post. Was immense today and has been solid all season generally. He doesn't get the credit he deserves soetimes, this may be due to his off field antics however!.
UPinCarolina Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Vardy's touch past the keeper and finish for the goal were sublime, if it was Aguero who has done that pundits would be fapping left right and centre. Did you see his second today? Magic.
majaco Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I don't get to many games. We're superb. Drinkwater and Kante are beyond compare in the league. The two hours I spent yesterday parked on the M5 well worth it. I even got the Villa fan in front of me in the gridlock to agree how poor Villa are

Koke Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Some of the defensive headers by Simpson were brilliant. He's not the greatest full back, but at least he does the basics right.
WardyisPukka Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 That was a near perfect performance. Drinkwater best game in a city shirt that ball to vardy for the 2nd was barca like and then the crossfield pass to mahrez at the end was utter class. Back four and Kasper were solid throughout. Vardy was back to his near best. Perfect response from the team and Claudio to all the doubters and moaners Ten points clear of 5th THAT IS RIDICULOUS
Lcfcwatto Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I am starting to think Danny Simpson is looking particularly sharp, playing well and establish himself as an important first team player
