SheppyFox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Excellent, putting a really nice gap now between us and the teams 5th & 6th, can't wait to show Bayern Munich, Barca etc how a proper English club plays!
sulfoxide Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 No matter where we finish at the end of the season, what a ride Ranieri and the team have taken us on )
LanguedocFox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 9 points from 9 from Mike Dean this season. 4 wins on the bounce. I thought the ref was fair to both teams today. One yellow in a competitive match, no whinging (apart from Mark Hughes, I suppose) and a lot of laughs. Have him again!
UPinCarolina Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Of the mind now that our priority should be keeping this group together, not adding new shiny pieces. Pay absurd wages to keep Kante, Mahrez and Vardy (if we can) - we can buy someone if we get a CL place, and maybe a 4th striker - but that's it!
baldeagle Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I think another plus along with getting a goal today was the fact Vardy played the full 90 minutes , something he hasn't managed for a few games
Vardinio'sCat Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 With Vardy training properly and nearing full fitness, our pressing game is back. I said in another thread that the defensive game was just common sense while Vardy was struggling a bit. It might not have been pretty or as exciting but we only lost once during that period. It's just a shame that we didn't have another striker of Vardy's calibre to call on. Today was us back to our best, against a weakened Stoke maybe but they weren't even in it. Exactly, well said
Webbo Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I think Stoke did have half a mind on the semi but that result will do the players the world of good. What's our PL points/games won records?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Fair play to Mark Hughes as he admitted the best side won and that Leicester deserved the win
fuchsntf Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Still got 4 wheels on the wagon, even though the cherokees are still after me. Modern version... Wheels on the bus go round and round, round n round Vardys found his shots are again goalward bound, goalward bound, all season long. Mahrez missed 2 pen, pens, missed 2 pens, Now his magic as got Ulloa scoring again, again, scoring agaiiin. CLaudios got his horses charging around the last bend, around the last bend, mugging the punits, worrying them right to the end ,right to the end.. I LIKE IT WHEN, our bubble bursts, it goes pop, pop, pop, gotta funny feeling, hold it boys, we are still top, top, top.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I thought the ref was fair to both teams today. One yellow in a competitive match, no whinging (apart from Mark Hughes, I suppose) and a lot of laughs. Have him again! Was a good ref performance - only incorrect decision I can remember was awarding Stoke a corner when it should have been a goal kick
ARM1968 Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Have to admit after the dismal FA cup exit I was seriously concerned. Today someone welded the wheels back onto the bus. Great performance against a tough team. Glad to have been so wrong. Just need to keep a good gap between us and 5th.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Think it was key Vahdez were involved in goals today will do there confidence no end of good.
st albans fox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Riyad looked back to his old self as the second half wore on Vards will soon be fit again Amartey will be getting fit Hopefully we'll buy another striker to allow JV some rest during a game. Toughest run of games this season to come.
ithuriel Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 They ditched the wheels and had Kante running the bus Flintstones style.
Thracian Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Have to admit after the dismal FA cup exit I was seriously concerned. Today someone welded the wheels back onto the bus. Great performance against a tough team. Glad to have been so wrong. Just need to keep a good gap between us and 5th. I don't think Leicester were much bothered whether they won that cup match or not.
Larry_LCFC Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Thing is people make out like Vardy needs a rest, but I bet he covers alot less ground than the likes of Kante and albrighton. Vards makes some lightning runs but also spends a fair bit of time standing waiting whilst Kante etc are just charging around non stop. Should Vardy be any more knackered than them when he's at full fitness?

Should Vardy be any more knackered than them when he's at full fitness?Completely different types of sprints. Vardy makes quite a few potentially 20 yard, powerful sprints whereas Albrighton will make 5 yard sprints to close players down. Kante on the other hand has to be excluded from this argument as he is just mind-boggling, unhuman.
Merging Cultures Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I'm just pissed off. First game I've not watched this season. I guess that means I can't watch anymore.
Raw Dykes Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Have to admit after the dismal FA cup exit I was seriously concerned. Today someone welded the wheels back onto the bus. Great performance against a tough team. Glad to have been so wrong. Just need to keep a good gap between us and 5th. Same. Was a bit worried that we'd lost our mojo. I thought maybe Mahrez wanted out, and maybe Claudio was focussing too much on defending. This performance has reassured me that it's still that same team that had such an incredible first half of the season. I'm sure the players are buzzing right now. Not expecting too much from the next three games. I'd be happy with a draw in each and just to look competitive. After that, I think we could be well positioned to finish the season strongly.
suffolk fox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 You see we bring a disguised Rachel back pre match what happens we win convincingly 3 0 after the second went in the confidence returned. Kante, Drinkwater, Okazaki were all men of the match for me. Well done all good performance today.
ARM1968 Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Thracian - agreed. In fact we were so poor it was almost like it was deliberate.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 When I saw Kante I thought I'd never seen a player quite like that. Imagine if Makalele had a more mobile, fitter brother, who's passing was far more ambitious and skilful, and who got forward a lot more. He's like that! So I'm prepared to say it, borderin on world class. Why not? he is looking like as good as any midfielder in the Prem. Seems mean to only mention him, but I could bang on for hours about this squad, so I won't! I'm ecstatic with the result, we played so well all over the park.
Great Boos Up Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Stoke have never scored from a set piece or a corner this season, so we had three men on the halfway line for every corner. Nice to know we do our homework.
sdb Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Not that I want to be a party pooper but also worth noting their 3 best players weren't playing after 30 mins
