Guest Electric Yetis Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Apparently went to a few when I was 4. The first game I remember clearly was the 1-0 win over Oxford to stay up when I was nearly 6 in 1991. Now been taking my own son since he was 3.

AndyElZorro Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Wednesday, September 29, 1976 at home v stoke city. We won 1-0 with a Frank Worthington goal. I was 7 and we sat in the east stand next to pen 1
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Aged 7. Feb 81. It'll be 35 years in a couple of weeks. Took me a few years to realise I preferred Leicester to Liverpool, who I attached myself to first, unfortunately. No parental direction you see. Fell in love with LCFC organically.
RoyFox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 10. Lost 2-1 to West Ham at Filbert Street. Tony James own goal My first game too, woeful but great atmosphere!
4everfox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 8 years old. Play off final 1996 - Wembley. Leicester 2-1 Crystal Palace.
Illusion35 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 During the 1987-88 season and I was 9. Sadly can't remember the exact match but we lost! £3.50 in the family standing at Filbert Street.
bluefox76 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 At home to man city when I was 11. Sitting at the back of the double decker. Still swear it was moving to this day.
Reg Vardy Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 6 Foxes v Chelsea second leg old league cup 1963.... Crap match, can remember running the length of the old main stand as the game was rather boring......we lost 3-2 on aggregate, match finished 0-0
coolhandfox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 13, Plymouth Argyle, 2-0, Kitson, Fitzpatrick 1991-92
filbertway Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 No idea how old I was and I don't remember it, but my first game was against some random european team in a friendly and I spent the whole time running up and down the rows, climbing the seats and doing pretty much anything but watching the game. Not too disimilar to 04-08 though, the only difference was, I was trying to actively avoid watching those games.
Izzy Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 First match age 9 in 1982 home to Newcastle. Main stand, block J. 2-2, Lineker with both of ours and Keegan with both of theirs. What a debut game that was.
Weller in Tights Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I was 7, 1968 v Stoke. I sat on the wall at the front and when the final whistle went I ran on the pitch with the other kids sitting on the wall (it was allowed in those days). I then panicked as I didn't know where my brother (who was 11 and in charge of me) was. Luckily he kept an eye on me and wandered over to me as I turned back to the stand to look for him. 0 - 0. I don't remember much of the game, I was just mesmerised by the whole occasion. That's it, I was hooked. Since then I've taken all 5 of my children down at a variety of ages, the youngest was 9 months. The Mrs was away and I didn't want to miss the game. I sat down with him on my knee the whole game. Ipswich, it was 21 years ago. My other kids? 2, 7, 8 and 8 for their first games. All have grown up to be City fans, 4 of them avid fans, one of my daughters a bit of a part time supporter. True to say though LCFC is a massive part of our lives.
Bayfox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 9 or just turned 10, West Brom Away. Drew 1-1 hooked from that moment. Took my daughter at 4 and my son had just turned 4 as well, they aren't really into it as I was, gonna let them pick and choose when they want to go so not to ruin it for them, by forcing them, They didn't seem as taken in by the game or the crowd, atmosphere, etc like I did, then I guess a terrace at the Hawthorns in the late 80's and a toilet block with no roof and a police helicopter flying over head was a much more eye opening introduction to the game
RichMC24 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Age 13, March/April 1987 vs Man City. Won 4-0. Simon Morgan scored, that's all I can remember. Pen 4, We beat QPR next game 4-1, but still got relegated at the end of the season on 42 points :-( Took my lad to his first game this season vs West Ham. He was 4 & a bit bored tbh.
