Iversen signs

Positive and decent haircut for a youngster, would be worried if someone turned up with a Raheem Sterling style haircut as his seems to make him fall over all the time.

You say that but I've lost a little of my faith in humanity.

I wonder how much of a factor Kasper was in this?. lets hope he can develop and become a solid goalie here.

Probably had about as much influence as our English players do when we sign someone from this country

Come on now, he'll be training with his country's first-choice keeper, who just so happens to be the son of the legendary Danish keeper Peter Schmeichel. Perhaps you've heard of him?

I think it's going to have had a little influence on his decision at the very least.

The 20-year-old keeper Daniel Iversen had dreamed of smoking from Leicester on a lease to get some first-team football in his legs. That dream, however, is immediately put to standby.

In January 2016, Daniel Iversen moved from Esbjerg to Leicester, where the keeper has since played on the club's U23 team. However, the high goalkeeper has worked this summer to get new grass under the feet.

"I would like to have been rented out now, but it does not seem that it will happen. We have worked a bit, but I think we are waiting for winter, says Daniel Iversen at bold.dk.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper, who is currently united with the Danish U21 national team, has reached a point where he will try something else.

- I would like some experience from senior level. The level is good at the U23 team, and I get some matches there, but you have to try out something that matters more and that means more for a team and a club to win, says Iversen, who is good though Satisfied with the level of U23.

- It's very mixed how the level is. Some teams have first-time players every time others do not have. But the level has been very high, says the keeper.

Thus, it indicates that Daniel Iversen is going to use the autumn at Leicester's U23 team, while hoping that the winter has a lease agreement.

- I want to stay in England. I do not know exactly where I'm going - I'll take it, says Daniel Iversen.

The keeper played last season 15 matches for Leicester U23 teams in the so-called Premier League 2.

It's no wonder young players say stuff like this when their careers are stagnating.

We've got another two goalkeepers who can't get infront of Kasper.

This isn't a surprise. His interview I posted a few months back explained the same thing, that he was hoping and expecting to be loaned out to a lower league club this summer. Things looked promising then (they had maybe a few clubs in the pipeline, possibly his agent telling him this), but it hasn't materialised. He isn't actually expressing a desire to leave the club, just wanting to play competitive football (even at lower level) because he believes it will benefit his development.

This very much sounds like Kasper has talked to him about leaving on loan, much like he did when at Man City. Kasper has spoken repeatedly of how important an experience it was being at Notts County, Bury, Falkirk et al where it's people's livelihood that's at stake, what with bonuses and clauses in contracts having huge bearings on players' earnings.

Don't blame him. How is only 15 matches in the PL2 going to help him? Most of the time we play our 3rd choice senior goalkeeper there anyway. Just loan him out before he requests to move permanently.

Music to Keith Vaz's ears.

Why does that man get a front row seat in the directors box? Nobody is looking to get a washing machine fixed!!! :dunno:

I have nothing but utter contempt for him

Really hope he gets a loan move. Really enjoying hearing how Barnes and Moore are developing at Barnsley and Leuven. Be good to see what Iversen can actually do at senior level.

Disappointing to read a young international player we paid money for is being denied opportunity to develope.  Who is in charge of GK Youth Development at LCFC as would be interesting to hear their views on following;

1/. when/who was last Yth GK that made it through to LCFC first team?

2/. when/who was last Yth GK that went out on loan from LCFC?

3/. why dont we loan out our young GKs like other clubs do to give them valuable experience?

4/. is lack of loan experience a factor in our young GKs not developing into 1st team keepers?

5/. how is your performance measured if we never produce any GKs through our academy/youth system?

im sure I could also manage to produce ZERO Goalkeepers given the chance.....and I've never even played the game?

Not like Foxy-Lady to post in a thread bashing our youth development
