Arsenal Post Match Thread 2 - 1

https://www.thesportspredictor.com/#/predictor/with/season,pro,hideFinished,showToolshad far too long spare on a Sunday evening to complete this. Had us finishing top by a point on 82.

Long way to go, there will be slip ups from all four sides at unexpected places. Really don't know who I would want to win if it wasn't us, given tat the options are:-

Arsenal - some of most fickle and 'modern' football fans in the country.

Spurs - like the manager and a few of the players, but the fans are so bitter from being in Arsenal's shadow it almost hurts. Oh and Harry Kane.

Man City - likable fans, but I lost a lot of respect with how they dealt with the Pep/Peligrini fiasco. Probably have to side with them, but it looks unlikely at the moment.

Man City 'likeable fans'....not in my neck of the woods. Up there with the top 3 worst for me.

Did you go to the game? If not, perhaps next time you can show up and contribute.

Sang my heart out all game mate, like approx 5% of the end. Vast majority didn't want to know today.

Shame. Always q kick in the teeth when its a last minute winner, but we gave ourselves the problem of dealing with a free kick in a dangerous area with the clock ticking down. 6 pts from 3 tough games, very nearly 7 pts. No shame in that and we can do so much more, Arsenal were straining every rivet against our 10 men and getting nowhere until we helped them out.

Anyone else a bit disappointed with our fans? I appreciate I can't really comment as wasn't there but I don't actually recall hearing one song throughout the game.

Seriously we didn't stop singing most of the game, guess sky must have turned mikes down in case we sang naughty songs.

Did you hear Arsenal fans? because they certainly didn't sing - only heard them when they scored!

Our end was fvcking awful today.

Nothing against them at all and it's only an observation but I didn't realise how many old people we having going to our away games. Also we have lots of young kids, which is good obviously as they are the future supporters.

all this "their fans celebrated" stuff is pretty pathetic like. of course they did. firstly who cares who they're playing or how many red cards or decisions go their way, if you score with the last kick of the game you're down the aisle.

secondly, we ask for respect all season and now we resort to this? they've celebrated that like a last minute winner on a huge day coming from behind against a genuine title rival. dya know why they've celebrated it like that? cos that's exactly what it was.

Fully agree. If we'd been in the same situation we'd have gone nuts too. I'm fvcked off by today but I'm not about to pretend that celebrating a big win is embarrassing.

Does anyone feel embarrassed by their reaction when the goals went in against Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool this season? I know I don't.

So unless you're a teenager clad in Stone Island gear giving the home fans the hard look when you know full well they can't get to you, you shouldn't be allowed to go away with the club?

Jesus some people.

You've twisted his words quite badly there.

Welcome to the unfortunate world of Premier League silver haired glory hunters who suddenly have a season ticket over the last 2 years and can throw money to seek their spur of the moment thrills.

Always tough to take when you lose at the death but we all agreed we could afford to lose this one. I was more worried about playing the teams further down the table to be honest and if there's one positive to take from today it's the drive the team will have to make sure this doesn't happen again. Could be a blessing this.

Up the foxes.

This sold out half way through priority 2, no?

Good post, that's a nice way of looking at it. Although we all didn't want to concede in the last action of the game today it's an experience that can be useful to take into other matches.

I'm clutching at straws here and I don't think we felt pressure whatsoever, all the pressure was on Arsenal, they had to win today but after that win I think pressure is even more on Arsenal now, and even less on us.

We all know Arsenal are monumental bottlers.

What a load of elitist crap.

Many of those guys could have been following City away since the Bloomfield years and all the dross that followed.

I've had a fvckin gut full of abuse from Gooner 'mates' down here today via text and Facebook - wankers. So I've taken advantage of their new found confidence and waged three separate £50 bets with some of them that we finish higher in the league than they do. Fair to say they all snapped my hand off but I genuinely believe after today that we can still end up above them. I always preferred Gooners to Spurs fans, but after today I've decided they're all a bunch of cockney cvnts.

Spurs > Arsenal.

If we don't win the league I want Spurs to just to spite Arsenal.

It was the same in the championship, we just have a larger following of older people at away games.
