Monsell1976 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Right that makes sense. He wasn't on the benchYou didn't ask if he was on the bench, you asked why we let de-leat go, and that's why.
katieakita Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Ref did us no favours and Arsenal have had years of experience in playing them whinging and moaning about every decision. No doubt according to Arsehole Whinger the ref had a good game just like in their next matches vs Barcelona and Man Utd they will be robbed and the ref will have a shocker
Dickov22 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Wake up from a 50/50 tackle! If he pussied out the challenge you'd all slag him off for backing out there, if we had defending the freekick better and finished 1-1 you wouldn't of even been mentioning about that challenge now! As Said before, as a whole Wes had a good game against Sanchez. RDL wouldn't of been as solid defensively as Was was today He shouldn't have made the foul. Red would've pretty much blown for full time a few seconds later . Instead he does his usual rash challenge that then allows Ozil to put in a wicked free kick that only needed a touch.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 They were both 100% "homer" decisions. The crowd beside Simpson created a big song and dance after each challenge that influenced the yellow cards. Very weak refereeing. 100% correct. Can't help but wonder what happened in the Refs dressing room at halftime. HOWEVER, having just been carded, Simpson should have been more intelligent.
Dickov22 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 You didn't ask if he was on the bench, you asked why we let de-leat go, and that's why. So I'm still asking the question. Why let De Laet go if his apparent replacement can't get on the bench. Seems strange. It's not why we lost, but surely he comes on and we are better off than a when a 35 year old rash centre half comes on when Simpson goes off?
filbertboy Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I'd have never condoned any team of mine systematically pressurising the referee like that. Exactly - what a shameful way to behave.
Mark_w Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Ugh that was horrible, really did deserve to get something. Two points clear - just need to use this like we used the Watford play-off defeat.
Thracian Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I don't think the subs worked very well (and I don't think they were great against Man City) Was to come on when Simpson got the red was the best option, but I think Okazaki off at that point would have been better. Mahrez is always a bit weak defensively but always requires heavy marking and would have tied up their full backs. With Albrighton moved right wing and Gray on the team lost a bit of defensive shape. Gray played well, but a tough brief for a fairly junior sub. I cannot see how bringing on King helped either. King didn't have a role to play because we'd taken all the options for his potential role away. There were no realistic outlets left for using a passing approach to easing the pressure. Instead we just retreated and hooved. I hope it was Ranieri's decision because it was bloody awful advice if not. In fact I couldn't make a convincing case for any of the substitutions.

ImBlue Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Ugh that was horrible, really did deserve to get something. Two points clear - just need to use this like we used the Watford play-off defeat. Amen. Use the sense of injustice to rip Norwich apart Saturday.
EastAnglianFox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Feel for big Marcin, the camera was only on him for a few seconds after the match and you could see he was close to tears. He is just so eager to win everything and do well for us, so a bit miffed at him but back to loving the big man now I've calmed down.
KFS Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Dickov22 in blaming the whole thing on Wasyl- shocker Boring
lcfc old boy Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 its valentines day 2016 leicester city are top of the league, there was always going to be a day like this on reflection we have nothing to fear from the other teams this is where the fantastic team spirit the manager has created kicks in,and the norwich game the fans will again tell lcfc how much we believe in them
Karljohn Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Gutted but think we'll come back even stronger. 7 out of the last 12 at home, busy cup schedules and some top 6 clashes for the chasing pack.
ScouseFox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Dickov22 in blaming the whole thing on Wasyl- shocker Boring he's probs pretty happy he can finally say told you so to something he claimed would happen every week 2 years ago
Merging Cultures Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 A disappointing way to lose. But we played well before the red card, and I think we'll continue to win and be in the running.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Referee bent over to the crowd. Ruined the game.
TJB-fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 If we don't win it, then I really hope Arsenal don't either. Or Spurs. Or Man city? If we don't win it can nobody win it?
fazzyfox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 What a hypocritical bunch of scum they are, any firm tackle against them and it's a disgrace and there's uproar yet they dish it out like the one on Kante in the build up to the penalty. That wasn't just a foul but a risk of serious injury on what just happened to be our best player at the time. Wenger handed out contracts to Viera, Petit, Flamini and others despite them being the very thing he claims to despise and benefits from his players, sorry, angels, intimidating the officials throughout. Football purist?
ThaiFox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 No doubt Simpson cost us big time by having to change our game plan. No excuse for his stupid bookings. Thought Arsenal were like little school girls, moaning at the ref all the time, going down far too easily and trying to get Leicester players in trouble. Hate them nearly as much as those other north London lot, Tottingham. Anyway, I would have snatched any ones hand off for 6 points from these 3 games. We are still top and will be for another two weeks at least, whilst all the teams around us slog away in other competitions. Now Ranieri has to earn his money. I want to see a reaction like we had after Arsenal beat us at the King Power. If that happens we'll win the league.
