promised land Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Why did the ref allow 5min of extra time when the board indicated 4 mins. When a team is up against it with 10 players (yes, Simpson didn't help our cause) then you rely on the officials at least keeping to the rules. 4 minutes blow your whistle. Not 5min! It's a minimum of 4 minutes. Minimum to the refs descretion.

Dr The Singh Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Gutted, but a fair result, with 10 men, Arsenal were well on top. However, I'm quite positive, we can beat anyone 11/against 11

It is always a minimum, if the ball isn't cleared play will usually be allowed to continue until you get it away.. Was commited the foul and Arsenal were allowed to take the free kick and have one last chance ...
Bluetintedspecs Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Sadly Arsenal bogey continues! 2 moments of ill discipline and shit loads of moaning and cheating cvnts. Gutting but still more positives than negatives, time to brush ourselves down recoup and bounce back with a vengeance. COYB
eastendfox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 So stuff the ref, stuff what Arsene says, stuff what Alan Smith says, stuff whether Danny and Was were or were not at fault, stuff whether they were or weren't penalties... Over the last two weekends I and a load of other football fans worldwide have seen a really decent football team who have shown everyone that we are top of the table on merit and not through some lucky run of games. They've seen some great individual performances as well as a team who gives everything. And they've seen us take three points from two fixtures where few teams will expect to take more than one. So I for one am seriously proud of my football team, regardless of what happens from here. I think from what we've seen we'll be able to pick it up again and keep getting results. But if we don't it has been the most fabulous 11 months I have ever had as a Leicester fan.
kyleolly Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I think some of our fans are very bitter today and forget A couple of dives to get penaltys drinkwaters horror tackle, Kante was lucky to stay on the pitch obviously Simpson was a berm to get sent off I don't think the ref was that bad to us today!
Monsell1976 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Arsenal when they beat us 5-2 I said they were brilliant, and the best team we had played... today was the opposite, they couldn't stop moaning, play acting and the fans were just as bad. Terrible losers but even worse winners, especially Wengers comments after the match, pathetic and they have gone down in my estimations ...Exactly how I felt, they was brilliant down here, and at the time looked like champions.Sadly today they was awful, desperate and the premier league should look at the intimidation of the ref, they know if that stayed 11 v 11 we would have won. Not bitter that they beat us, I'm bitter about how unsportsmanlike they were, and how them intimidating the ref, who in turn influenced the outcome of the game.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Why didn't we play in blue? Because I think they thought black was our 'lucky' colour

The Ramsey clip that was posted earlier, in the refs face, demanding cards, shameful but it worked
orangecity23 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I'm going to laugh my arse off when Barca batter Arsenal into the dust, especially when an Arsenal player gets a red because Busquets does 18 rolls on the floor. Their wingebag fans and their cheating players won't think those tactics are fair then.
Kendal Fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Hi Everyone,I'm new here - just introduced myself on the "New Members" section.Sorry to drop my first post after such an upsetting result, but I thought I'd share a couple of positives for what it's worth. Firstly and most obviously, our next game is at home to Norwich - Whilst no team should be underestimated, to play a bottom table team who are struggling for any sort of consistency in our next match is surely the best one could wish for, in a title run, after the huge disappointment of dropping 3 points. Secondly, and potentially advantageously in more ways than one, we are playing on the Saturday, before any of the big boys. This means, should we win, the 5 point gap will be restored for at least 24 hours, then the likes of Arsenal (who are away to Man Utd) and Spurs will have the pressure of attempting to claw back the defecit. As gutted as I am at today's fiasco, it's still in our hands! Something, I didn't think, just 3 games ago. We just need to keep some perspective here.
theessexfox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Sanchez thinks he's an absolute baller but really he has a horrible habit of doing a few step-overs then absolutely slicing his shot.
Mark_w Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Ramsey should get a ****ing ban for that. If only he'd been rolling towards Was.
Leicesterpool Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 God that was painful, so close to coming away with a point. Bloody ref helping them out in the end, also what arsehole fans they have.
old koppite Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Was was stupid, but what happened to our defence when the free kick was taken? No challenge on Wellbeck and huge hole in centre. Think a couple of players switched off - ah well, so close to a " brave draw". Agree with everyone saying what a bunch of actors- rolling around and gesturing for cards- well done Arsene, you've trained them well in the spirit of sportsmanship .
RowlattsFox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Remember thinking before the free kick was taken that we were spending too much time trying to get a high line rather than concentrating on the runs and their man. At least 2 players got behind the line.
Leicesterpool Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I would agree Arsenal probably had the better chances, but I'm sorry that red card changed the game. We were defending fine till that point in the game.
BlueSi13 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 How bad was our away end BTW? I know sometimes the TV doesn't give a true picture but I barely heard a peep out of us. Really poor showing from us today in a match where the players really needed us to counter the absolute embarrassing bile being displayed by the Arsenal players and fans customers.
weller54 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I was in the north bank with the fvcking arsenal cvnts!! ...that was horrendous!!!!

The atmosphere was good first half but poor second half, I think many were nervous.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Just seen the goal. ...defending was shite. Free header and appears to be Fuchs to blame. Awful defending at that stage

TonyN11 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I've calmed down a bit now - If today's experience makes our players mentally stronger for the rest of the season then it's not a bad thing. Impressed with Ranieri's interview after the game. Made his point about the severe punishment for 2 normal fouls by Simpson but then went on to say that it's OK and that we should congratulate Arsenal and also our players. That's class, would Ferguson, Mourinho or Wenger react like that? Also his comments tell the players to 'let it go' and stay positive and hungry.
