hlz Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 It might be a blessing in disguise this. We will now have 2 weeks of being written off again and if Amartey comes in at RB and looks the business then we could have strengthened our team for the run in. Simpson has done very well this season but the last few games he's scared me on a few occasions and a bit of a breather could be needed for him and our team. Definitely. We're no longer the favourites.
KFS Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I want to see those twats on TalkNorwichCity crying into their scarves. Let's smash these
Gary Eatfood Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 We'll win this. Today has had a bizarre effect on me. Before the game I was adamant we wouldn't win the title. Having lost I now think we will go very close indeed. Perform like we did when 11v11 today and we will get ourselves a lot of points between now and the end of the season. That's exactly how I feel too.
harpendenfox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 That's exactly how I feel too. As do I. We really are pretty good
weller54 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Cheated out of a point today... Need to put Norwich to the sword.. And hope Yanited beat the jammy arsenal scumbags!!!
blueharmie Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Point to prove. 4-0 Leicester. You heard it here first.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Hope we can get a good result against Norwich. I know sometimes when a team loses a game it's more beneficial to play quickly afterwards, but with this two week break I suppose it might help the players to have a break from playing for a short while, perhaps regain/boost some of their energies. As for Norwich, they've got some good players. Mbokani, Naismith, Hoolahan and Brady are some examples. I think their manager is decent too. However, three points on our own soil would be a good response to our defeat against Arsenal. We've got 12 games, not against top 4 sides, but nevertheless all of them have their own qualities.
Kendal Fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Hi There, Posted this on the post match thread, but realised it would be more relevant here, so please forgive the copy/paste! *I'm new here - just introduced myself on the "New Members" section.Sorry to drop my first post after such an upsetting result, but I thought I'd share a couple of positives for what it's worth. Firstly and most obviously, our next game is at home to Norwich - Whilst no team should be underestimated, to play a bottom table team who are struggling for any sort of consistency in our next match is surely the best one could wish for, in a title run, after the huge disappointment of dropping 3 points. Secondly, and potentially advantageously in more ways than one, we are playing on the Saturday, before any of the big boys. This means, should we win, the 5 point gap will be restored for at least 24 hours, then the likes of Arsenal (who are away to Man Utd) and Spurs will have the pressure of attempting to claw back the defecit. As gutted as I am at today's fiasco, it's still in our hands! Something, I didn't think, just 3 games ago. We just need to keep some perspective here.*
dylanlegend Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Amartey wins us a PK in the 94th min after a darting run from defence
Grey Fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 We need to put today behind us. In fact I would suggest we put the whole season behind us and start a 12 game season with Norwich at home. That is the attitude we showed at the end of last season when we went on our 9 game 'greatest escape' run. I would like to see that same attitude over the next 12 games. When we lost to Arsenal at home we went and beat Norwich away, so we can certainly beat them at home. As long as we prepare for the game properly and forget about the past. We are still top of the league and it's still in our hands. If we win our games then no one can catch us. We wont win them all but I doubt any of the others will either. We can still do this! COYB
Corky Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Fancy us in this one, think we'll have frustration to let out after today and we should have enough quality to win it. Need to win these two home games.
oohaahmustafa Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Cmon we'll smash these, they're absolutely pony Kante vs Jonny Howson?
SecretPro Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Don't like underestimating teams or feeling cocky but surely we smash these off the park? Think we need to after today.
NewEnglandFox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I have been thinking that we might see a change of approach in the upcoming run. It's going to be difficult to counter attack Norwich and play like we have during the last run. The forced change to the squad Simpson out allows us to make a tactical shake up a little easier.
fuchsntf Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Norwich will will win, the canaries will peck our bubble to death. They wont sit back, they cant afford to.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Oh man this thread reminds me of Bournemouth at home. Any kind of win will do me.
LJS Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Oh man this thread reminds me of Bournemouth at home. Any kind of win will do me. Bournemouth are better than this lot but to be fair we should have battered Bournemouth. We were clearly suffering from being knackered after Christmas and were still only a penalty miss away. We'll beat this lot. Agree though, I don't care if it's 1-0 off Kante's arse in the 97th minute.
Midlands yellow Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Glad you think Norwich will just turn up and roll over for you .Hopefully Wes Hoolahan is practicing his diving skills to take the master Jamie on .
Number 6 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Glad you think Norwich will just turn up and roll over for you .Hopefully Wes Hoolahan is practicing his diving skills to take the master Jamie on . You lost 2-0 to Villa and don't expect us, top of the league, to be confident?
