steve43 Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 When did this take place, I got my lucky cheeseburger as usual, I tried to get in the turnstile, only to be told you cannot take food into the stadium, you have to buy it inside, without using profanities, I was miffed, I know we are top of the league, but that is only because I, whether I want one or not, have a lucky cheeseburger. I do hope they change this very dangerous policy ASAP!
Larry_LCFC Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 I had that the first week they brought these lacklustre extra checks in. Not had a problem since. Walked in with food and drink fine past few games. It's a stupid, idiotic rule when the club has placed those burger vans outside. They are still getting paid.
johnny the fox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 When I got my sausage out the stewards were not pleased...
Strokes Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Eat before you get in Steve, no cheeseburger has ever been lucky.
glenny_fox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 I had no problems getting into the stadium with my pre match burger.
steve43 Posted 27 February 2016 Author Posted 27 February 2016 I know I took a jokey post on this, but is it official or a stuard being a bit too keen?
Larry_LCFC Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 I know I took a jokey post on this, but is it official or a stuard being a bit too keen?Technically you're not supposed to take food and drink in but it's a stupid rule, particularly with stuff bought at the food vans. Seems only to be those new event stewards that are arsed, and even then very selectively.
Bayfox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 When I got my sausage out the stewards we not pleased... Only cuz they couldn't find the ****er
Vicki Vixen Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Next thing they will be banning thermos flasks from the west stand, then the meltdown will really start
David Lowe Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Can't believe this!! I take my sausage in every match.
Livid Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Take a bottle of water in most weeks, never been stopped. Maybe it's because I'm in my mid 40's I'm not seen as a threat.
Leicesterpool Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 When did this take place, I got my lucky cheeseburger as usual, I tried to get in the turnstile, only to be told you cannot take food into the stadium, you have to buy it inside, without using profanities, I was miffed, I know we are top of the league, but that is only because I, whether I want one or not, have a lucky cheeseburger. I do hope they change this very dangerous policy ASAP! You only have to get a jobs worth most stewards aren't bothered about that sort of thing.
chrishlcfc Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Technically, it is a dangerous weapon. I've got a dangerous weapon but that's never stopped me getting in.
Mike Oxlong Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 They were fine with me taking my pig in for the hog roast at half time.
WesMorganGod Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I always eat my prawn cocktail crisps at the game, and drink apple juice or cranberry juice in bottles. never ever been told nothing.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 They were fine with me taking my pig in for the hog roast at half time. As long as it had a ticket and all that - lucky Filbert didn't get at it first mind!
Merging Cultures Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 My Dad, long time season ticket holder, always takes a can of cola in. He was stopped first game of the season. After much remonstrating he said he needed it to control his blood sugar and they let him through. I suggest you try the same.
Mike Oxlong Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 As long as it had a ticket and all that - lucky Filbert didn't get at it first mind! No ticket required for the pig. He get's free entry to the Hamily stand
Fox92 Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 It seems that every steward works to a different rule. Walk three turnstiles down and I bet you'd have got in.
GaelicFox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 My balti pie was cold yesterday ! Pissed me right off
Vlad the Fox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Mrs took the usual pack up and treats for the kids yesterday and had no problem when her bag was searched. Maybe they don't want tomato sauce on the turnstiles.
