Pundits who want us to do it and pundits who don't

Colin Murray has been lauding us for months as has, to be fair, Michael Gray, (albeit somewhat grudgingly)!

The rest of 'Talksport' though, seem fairly lukewarm towards us!

Don't tar us all with the same brush please !!  lol

As others have mentioned, Alan Shearer seems genuinely complimentary towards us on MOTD. I'd put him in the "For" camp.
Jeff Stelling always makes a point of giving us credit and the enthusiasm in his voice sounds genuine when he and the panel do their weekly "Can Leicester win the league?" piece on Soccer Saturday, even if Nicholas doesn't. I'd say Matt Le Tissier wants us to win it, and Merse always gives us credit but seems more concerned about how we will cope if key players get injured, which is fair enough. That and he obviously feels loyalty towards Arsenal. But I'd say he is slowly being won over :). I'd also throw Stuart Pearce into the "For" camp. He says some lovely stuff about us, he really wants us to do it. Ole "Psycho" bless him!!

I must say this though, as for the majority of ex-players turned pundits who clearly feel annoyance at the thought of us lifting the trophy, I just cannot get that... At all.. Loyalties to their clubs aside, most, if not all are from working class backgrounds, so to see "Tiny Leicester" - a club who've never won the top tier in all their 130+years of existence, with zero financial clout (compared to the big boys) - win it would be a victory, symbolically, for the "blue collar man". You know, the "every man" takes on the establishment and destroys them with aplomb and dignity. It's the meaning of it and I can't believe they are missing that??!!

I don't know. Perhaps I'm being extremely biased here, but fvck it. Surely even they (the haters) can see, potentially just how much more meaningful it would be if we won it as opposed to the hyped up, "bought", usual suspects!?? I guess the saying "There's nowt so queer as folk" comes to mind. Well, at least to me it does..!

Slightly off topic but how the hell is Jenas paid to be a pundit by the BBC? I have never heard him say anything of note. Ever. Not even once.

He's there as part of a box ticking exercise by the bbc

John Terry has said he wants us to win it. If we are going into the last game needing just a point, I can see Chelsea treating the game as a friendly.

Haha, Imagine the scenario.

Last game of the season, Chelsea away. Leicester need to win for us to win the PL. Any other result would mean Arsenal winning it. It's JT's last ever game for Chelsea and it's 0-0 with 2 mins to go and he blatantly scores an own goal just to stop Arsenal winning the Premier League.

Would he be more of a God for Chelsea fans than he already is?

And then the last thing he ever does in a Chelsea shirt is handing over the premier league trophy to Wes Morgan.

Phil Thompson on Soccer Saturday always loves watching our games and has a genuine smile on his face when describing how we play the game and go for it, think since his beloved Liverpool can't win it then he is rooting for us.

Interesting apart from the "title experience" section. A lot of our team have won a title in the past few years. It may be the Championship but it's still the experience and pressure of actually winning a title! Why do journalists keep forgetting this?

I was thinking that - there's loads of pressure to get out the Championship and we absolutely pissed it, and didn't slow down at all. Last season also showed just how strong this squad is to get the results when needed, why would they suddenly crumble?

he has predicted his top 4 to be as it stands now at the end of the season.

Le tissier has also said Leicester will win it

Merson also thinks we will win it

Charlie Nicholas has put Man City to win it

They are each slowly but surely believing we will do it. Madness

There's a difference between not wanting us to win it and not thinking we can win it. Chris Sutton has been mentioned as not wanting us to win it but I don't think that's it. He played for Norwich when they were in the same position as us, they ended up third. He played for Blackburn when they did win but only stumbled across the line. All he is doing is giving us his opinion based on his experience, which is what ex footballers employed as pundits are meant to do.

I can't believe how many people listen to Talksport. It's amateurish in every way.

Merson I think wants us to win but for some reason, despite loving us all season, he can't seem to get his head around the idea.

Henry obviously wants Arsenal but the way he speaks you can tell he feels we deserve it more. He's very critical of Arsenal and respects us.

Charlie Nicholas absolutely hated it when Ulloa got the winner last week. He was very begrudging of our win.and he kept on about how unlucky Norwich were.

I think Merse wants us to win.

He's such a Muppet. Just saw this for the first time today and PMSL  lol

Think Martin Tyler was desperate for Watford to score more then us Saturday, he screened his head of when deeney had a shot, but when mahrez scored A wonder strike he didn't seem the same excitement in his voice lol

Micky Quinn absolutely hates us and if we do cross the line as champions we should block his telephone lines for months just to put one over on him.

Every week for months despite whoever is co hosting his weekend shows and them disagreeing with him he says things like "the rails will be coming off this week for Leicester" or " I fancy them to blow up this week". Before the Liverpool game he said " on current form I fancy Liverpool to beat Leicester " again, how could he say that when we were TOTL . An absolute hater!,,

On the way to West Brom game he slated CR saying he was classless for saying Spuds and Arsenil were favourites, but he went on about it for ages as well!!!

Quite easily actually. Just because you're top of the league doesn't mean you're currently the most in form team. Same if you're bottom doesn't mean you currently the most out of form team. Chelsea spent all of last season top of the league, but after Christmas it was Arsenal who were probably the form team. Look at Palace right now, they're not bottom, but they've got the worst form currently in the league.

Well clearly you do fight the foxes corner Mr P, it must be hard to try to convert their opinions so none but supporters are present ;)

'If' we do end up as Champions, that will be the time to take retribution on the likes Micky Quimm/Alco Brazil and Mark Bellendsen.

Be patient and keep your fingers crossed we perform this miracle and then let the fun begin.

AN ABSOLUTE CLANGER...!!

+----------------+

But Sky's David Jones, usually so accomplished in his presenting skills, dropped an absolute clanger in his follow-up question. Somehow neglecting the fact that Leicester are peerless this season, he asked:

"Is he [Mahrez] though at the very top level, Claudio? Do you think he could play for any of the top six clubs in England?"

Despite the quite bonkers sentiment of the question, the Italian answered with good grace and utter conviction: "I think he can play with us!"

You know you've had a 'mare when even Jamie Redknapp reacts with wry incredulity................
